Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Cleansing Begins

[Inside Senti Island]

As soon as Rosse and Gion set foot on the island, Gion's brows involuntarily furrowed. The sea breeze, mixed with the island's unique salty and fishy scent, rushed toward them. The distant sound of waves vaguely came through, yet on this small island, it felt particularly dull.

"Careful!"

As Gion shouted instinctively, the surroundings suddenly became restless.

Rosse had just taken a step forward when a group of weapon-wielding natives rushed out from all directions. Their footsteps were heavy and urgent, quickly covering the entire beach.

These Klin tribesmen wore clothing with distinct tribal characteristics, dark fabric adorned with exaggerated totems. Their bare arms and calves were tattooed with mysterious symbols. Their faces were painted simply, with red and black pigments outlining ferocious expressions.

Regardless of gender, their eyes looking at Rosse and Gion were filled with naked ferocity.

"Outsiders, get off Senti Island."

Rosse didn't even glance at them. He just turned to Gion, "You still remember the map of Senti Island, right?"

"Hmm," Gion nodded slightly. She could faintly feel a killing intent pervading the air.

This tribe clearly wasn't friendly, and judging from Rosse's posture, it seemed he had no intention of talking nonsense with them.

In terms of large-scale destructive power, she definitely couldn't match Rosse, but her speed and flight after beast transformation were far beyond Rosse's.

So her mission became very clear: hold back the strong ones, lead the way, and record the map.

"Alright, take me to their settlement."

"Yes!"

Gion responded at once. She unfolded the bat wings on her back, and under the sunlight, the wings shimmered with a strange red light.

Before the Klin tribesmen could react, she had already grabbed Rosse and soared into the sky. The sea breeze howled behind them, carrying a salty sting.

"Don't run!"

"Damn outsiders, get off Senti Island."

Seeing Rosse and Gion rising, the Klin tribesmen thought they were trying to escape. They all raised their weapons, trying to bring them down by throwing them.

These people had clearly developed deep hatred toward the World Government and the Marine. As long as they saw related personnel, they would attack without hesitation.

If they had large ships, they would've already confronted the blockading Marine and CP0 head-on. But now, they could only vent their anger in the most primitive way.

Gion didn't stop. As she skimmed over the Klin tribesmen, Rosse slowly raised his hand, his slender fingers gently flicking.

In an instant, a barrier of water waves formed around him.

The weapons thrown by the Klin tribesmen hit the barrier and immediately lost all momentum, falling weakly from mid-air.

But stopping the thrown weapons clearly couldn't halt the Klin tribesmen's charge. Dozens of natives surged toward Rosse like a tidal wave, mixed with angry roars amidst flashing blades.

Rosse gently rotated his wrist, and countless fine water needles appeared out of thin air, like a silver curtain of rain falling from the sky.

These water needles shimmered coldly under the sunlight, weaving an invisible net in the air. The Klin tribesmen didn't even have time to let out a roar before being enveloped by this sudden attack.

The sound of "shua shua shua" was incessant. Every water needle hit its target with precision.

Blood blossomed in the night.

Accompanied by painful groans and desperate cries. The pierced natives collapsed to the ground, twitching. Their wounds were small but fatal, as if penetrated by countless miniature daggers.

Over a hundred Klin tribesmen didn't even manage proper resistance before being completely slaughtered by this terrifying water manipulation ability.

Under the sunlight, corpses lay in disarray, blood spreading across the ground, merging with the beach.

———

"Saint Rosse has killed 108 individuals: 98 ordinary Klin tribesmen and 10 Klin tribe elites, earning a total of 1980 points."

Inside a special ship belonging to the CP organization, a group of CP members were gathered in the command room. The large screen constantly switched between various visual feeds.

There were first-person live feeds from Rosse, Shamrock, and others, aerial bird's-eye views of the whole battlefield, and observational views from the forest's edge.

These images, from different angles, broadcasted the battle conditions across various areas of Senti Island in real time.

At the front of the command room, a CP member responsible for battle statistics reported real-time numbers, while a scorekeeper recorded the corresponding points on the tactical board.

Zephyr sat in the chief command position, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, carrying a relaxed smile.

Although Rosse's strength wasn't something he personally trained, they had sparred countless times. From his clumsy early battles to his current flawless responses even in high-level confrontations, it proved Rosse's combat talent.

With the combined strength of Rosse and Gion, Zephyr couldn't imagine them losing.

If not for Rosse's current lack of stamina and the fact that most Klin tribe settlements were inland, he could have cleared the area with just his Devil Fruit ability.

"Saint Shamrock has killed 82 individuals: 77 ordinary Klin tribesmen and 5 Klin tribe elites, earning a total of 1270 points."

"Indeed quite strong…", Zephyr's gaze fell on the surveillance screen, watching Shamrock slay Klin tribe soldiers at lightning speed, even slightly adjusting his posture.

Although Rosse's performance was already impressive, Shamrock's strength equally drew his attention.

The two were of similar age, yet the power they displayed was astonishing. In Zephyr's eyes, based on Shamrock's current strength alone, he was already qualified for the position of Vice Admiral within the Marine's system.

At this moment, Rosse and Shamrock were like two drawn arrows, piercing through the Klin tribe's defenses from opposite directions.

In comparison, the other Celestial Dragons seemed to be playing house, hiding behind slaves and other guards, leisurely participating in this so-called "war."

—-—

"This is the nearest settlement to us."

Gion spread her wings, tracing a graceful arc in the sky. In just a minute, she had crossed nearly three nautical miles and descended above the first settlement.

When they arrived, the village below was still immersed in peace.

Children played and laughed under the sun. Women busied themselves with housework, while elders leisurely worked with their hands. A group of young men gathered, playing a traditional Klin tribal game.

Though the Klin tribe had long been known to be blockaded by the World Government, they rarely left the island anyway, so they didn't take these restrictions seriously.

They had only sent a few patrol squads to the coast to inspect, reporting back if anything abnormal occurred. The ones Rosse killed earlier were from this settlement's patrol squad.

But to Rosse and Gion, patrols and hidden sentries were meaningless.

With their Observation Haki, any suspicious movement couldn't escape their senses.

Not to mention, at Gion's speed, no one could reach the settlement before them, sending remote communications might not even be faster.
