I couldn't sleep all night. The bed was warm and comfortable, but that wasn't the problem. This wasn't just a new place it was a completely foreign world to me. A different dimension, a continent I didn't recognize, skies with a softer hue than my own, and air that felt… more alive.
All I could do was stare at the ceiling, tossing and turning until I finally drifted off just before dawn.
When I finally woke up, sunlight was shyly peeking through the window slits. I let out a soft sigh and sat up, rubbing my eyes. My hair was a mess, sticking out in all directions. The pajamas I wore felt a little tight, especially around the chest probably because they belonged to Velthya. I didn't mind the simple and feminine design, but the size clearly wasn't meant for my body.
