Chapter 12 - First Transmigration

BLAIR

When I opened my eyes, I was somewhere I did not know.

I was in sort of a tunnel–a sort of passing.

The place was strange—dark and black, almost like a void. The ground beneath me was made of squares, but they looked odd.

It was not like anything I had seen before. My system was still above my head and on it, the words, "transmigrating.." was written.

The blackness stretched all around me then finally, I landed in the middle of a thick forest.

[Transmigration complete…]

[Welcome to Duaha forest.]

Whoa!! This place was so big. I stood next to lilies and a small bushel. The forest had many tall mango trees, oak trees, apple trees and iroko trees.

Trees with tall green leaves and colorful flowers surrounded me. The air smelled fresh and sweet.

Birds danced in the distance. I couldn't see any wild animals with my camera sight.

My ears were also wildly sharp and I could not hear anyone coming.

So far, everything was calm and I proceeded to move.

I tried to move, but something felt different. Instead of my usual legs, I felt four legs beneath me.

"Oh my gosh," I whispered, or at least I tried to.

I looked down to see cute paws with little nails on it. "I have paws?"

[Host will maintain the siren body during transmigrations.]

I looked around and saw soft pink fur covering my new body. I was no longer human. I was an animal—pink and shining, with scales under my belly that glimmered like tiny jewels.

I carried a paw up and licked it. It tasted like strawberries. Yum!

I could see why animals loved to lick their fur.

I started to hop around, excited and happy.

This new body made me feel so happy.

I had suddenly forgotten about the brouhaha with Maude and Sonya.

I pranced and danced, feeling free and wild.

I spotted a river nearby, its water clear and sparkling. Curious, I trotted over and looked at my reflection in the water.

I wanted to check if I would look like those female animals in cartoons that always had lashes, hair and makeup on.

Instead, I saw a pink creature staring back at me. She looked beautiful and strange. I just had the face of a bunny mixed with a wolf. Nothing too strange.

[That's your body, as a siren. Do you like it?]

It could definitely use some changes. I think I could work on my snouth, teeth and whiskers.

I wanted to say, "Yes!" but when I tried to speak, I found I couldn't. Instead, I let out a tiny bark. It was small and fierce. I sounded like a Chihuahua.

I blinked, surprised. My ears twitched. It was long and soft, like bunny ears. I touched them with my paw and smiled.

This was really happening. Sirens were the prettiest animals in the planet.

[The good thing about being a siren is that you can turn into any being you want.]

I was amazed. I could be anything! I wondered if I could request to be turned into a purple dragon.

[Don't get any ideas. You can only turn into whatever animal you wish when your mama points are high or when quests want you to. It doesn't just happen for fun.]

[New quest loading….]

[Prepare to transmigrate into another world.]

[A female queen bee is in distress. You must go save her.]

[She's experiencing a demon attack from the animal interstellar and you have to deliver her hive.]

I felt a rush of excitement and curiosity. I was going into a bee hive . I loved bees!

The system showed me my new stats.

[Since you are a siren, you will now integrate into a bee-siren form. You will be the size of a bee.]

[The normal size of a bee is 0.2 inches.]

I blinked. That's the size of a bee? That was tiny!

[The queen bee's name is Anelka.]

[Remember she is facing the wrath of male demons who want to take over her hive. The bees expect a savior—they have been praying for one.]

[In return, you'll be blessed with gifts you can use in the real world.

[The gifts will also help you to save other female leads.]

I felt a sense of duty.

Aye aye, captain!!

[There will be quests given to you in the hive.]

Before I could think more, the world around me shifted. I felt myself moving, shrinking, changing.

I was going through a wierd process. My bones broke, I was shaping…In the next moment, I was inside the lobby of a bee hive.

I looked around, amazed.

The hive was not what I expected. It was advanced, full of light and technology. I wondered how the bees managed to get electricity in here because the walls glowed.

The air smelled sweet, like honey and flowers. The hive was brown. The ceilings were made of brown tree stems.

It seemed the hive was hidden inside a tree. The walls were made of brown processed wood. I was sure the bees had been working very hard.

I looked down at myself. My new self was pink and shiny, a good mix of siren and bee. I did look like a bee though, just pink.

My thorax was big and round. There was pink glitter on it and it shone in the light.

My back was covered in soft pink fur. My wings fluttered gently and it also had translucent shimmer on it.

I had long antennae that twitched, trying to detect danger. My bee legs were delicate but strong, and on each leg, I wore tiny pink shoes made from flower petals.

I shook my wings and smiled. They were beautiful and light. I tried to fly bit I failed.

[Flying takes time. It's a process, don't rush.]

I touched my nose, sharp and pointed like a bee's. There was no mirror for me to look at myself.

Suddenly, I heard noises coming from a corridor nearby. It seemed voices were chanting. The buzzing of many bees filled the air.

I turned around, trying to decipher where the voice came from.

[Follow the sound. Proceed to the gathering.]

I began to walk, my small legs carrying me through the hive's halls. The walls were lined with more honeycomb patterns.

[Proceed right.]

I proceeded right.

[Proceed left and turn at the right. Walk straight.]

I walked from lobby to lobby and after a short walk, I reached a large room filled with bees.

They were gathered around, listening to someone speak from a podium.

I stood on a balcony and the bees were downstairs. It was an open balcony and it overlooked the crowd.

I could see some bees buzzing their wings in anger. Their eyes were bright.

A tall bee seemed to be addressing the crowd. On her uniform wrote, "Second in command to the queen."

Remind me why bees were wearing uniforms?

Her voice was shrill. She was speaking into what looked like a mic.

How did these fuckers get all of this electrical equipments here?

There were stairs beside the balcony leading to where the bees stood.

I used the stairs, slowly climbing downstairs. The stairs were made of mud, but it was neat.

As soon as I took the last step and was about to blend into the crowd, all the bees turned to look at me. Their eyes widened in surprise and curiosity.

I felt their gaze, and a small wave of nervousness washed over me.

One of the bees whispered to another, "Who is that? And why is she so…pink?"

"Is that the therapist we've been waiting for?" another bee whispered.

My senses were extra sharp so it wasn't hard to hear them.

The bee on the podium dropped her mic and proceeded to walk towards me.
