"Knowledge of the Void..."
The being froze. Ever since they had been assigned to the library, they had never seen anything about the void. Not even a single book. Just scraps filled with rubbish written by people who narrowly survived being devoured by the void.
"Are you sure?" They asked, their voice rumbling like thunderclaps that made the girls flinch.
Instead of answering, Kaiser simply summoned a crude tablet into his hands. Although it looked mundane, it pulsed with something eerie and otherworldly.
"H-how?" The being asked, stuttering. They had thought this immortal was just bluffing. Probably just trying to gain their interest.
"How? You have to pay." Kaiser said, a cunning smile on his face.
"Hmph." The being snorted but didn't disagree. "I can see you have two Defiled cultivators behind you. I could give you a book that would help them train their Defiled Arts."
"Is that so? Hand it over." Kaiser nodded, mildly uninterested.
