As the hours passed, the room remained filled with the sound of ringing phones, the rustling of papers, and the occasional clink of whiskey glasses. Luca and I were drowning in work, but that was nothing new. Being at the top meant there was always something to handle, always a deal to close, a problem to fix, or an enemy to watch out for. Tonight was no different.

Luca sat across from me, his phone pressed to his ear as he handled a call from one of our suppliers. His brow furrowed as he listened intently. "No, I don't care what your excuses are," he said sharply. "We had a deal. Either you deliver on time, or we find someone else who can." He glanced at me and shook his head. "These people think we run a charity."

I smirked but didn't look up from the documents in front of me. "Remind them who they're dealing with," I said, my voice calm but firm. "If they want to keep doing business, they better deliver."
