The sky is dead.
That was the name of the Noble Phantasm Daemon unleashed, sharing its name with Luo Hao's former divine power obtained from the God of Killing, though it bore no relation to eclipses.
This one came from Obito Uchiha. A power rooted in space itself.
It didn't distort light, nor pull celestial bodies into alignment. Instead, it collapsed space. Tore the world apart. Created rifts in reality. A simple concept, yet devastating in its execution.
A crisp sound.
Crack!
The moment Daemon spoke the true name of his Noble Phantasm, space around Kaido fractured.
Like a mirror struck by a hammer, the air rippled with dense, branching cracks. Reality itself buckled and splintered, unraveling at a speed no one could comprehend.
Then...
Shatter.
The battlefield ruptured. The sky above and the earth below tore open, revealing a depth so black, so alien, it could only be a fault in space,a no man's land, a place not meant for life to exist.
"AAARGH—!!"
Kaido roared as his body was caught in the collapse. He leapt forward in a last-ditch effort to strike Daemon—but it was too late.
Everything below his chest, legs, waist, arms, was crushed into nothing along with the shattered space.
What remained, his bloodied shoulders and head...was all Daemon allowed to survive. The remnants crashed to the ground before him like a broken puppet.
Kaido, the so-called King of Beasts, defeated in a single breath.
"Kaido!?"
Kozuki Oden stared, stunned. His voice trembled. A cold chill ran down his spine.
Had he really just witnessed space itself being torn apart?
This… this wasn't a Devil Fruit ability. No fruit could do that.
Even Sengoku and Akainu stood rooted in place, silent, shaken.
For the first time, they understood, why the Celestial Dragons had ruled the world unchallenged for over a thousand years.
This wasn't strength. It was domination.
"It's not wise to lose focus in a battle, Mr. Samurai."
The calm, cultured voice whispered beside Oden's ear. It was so gentle… and yet it rang with absolute authority.
"Bastard!"
Oden whipped around, slashing both blades in a wide arc.
"Oden Two-Sword Style: Paradise Waterfall!"
The blades gleamed with fury as they slashed toward the voice.
Clang—
The strike, powerful enough to cleave a mountain in half, was caught.
By two fingers.
Oden's arms trembled from the impact, sweat beading on his brow. His eyes widened in disbelief.
"Wha… What kind of monster are you…?"
Even Roger, in his prime, would've had to parry or dodge. Catching that kind of attack with fingers?
"This is simply the natural order, samurai," Aizen said with a calm smile. "A lion catching a mouse mid-pounce is hardly unreasonable, is it?" (PS: Damn)
He raised his hand slowly, as though not rushed in the slightest.
"Hado Number Ninety: Kurohitsugi."
A shadow formed, a massive, obsidian coffin of energy. It closed around Oden before he could react.
In the next instant
Shink—! Shink—! Shink—!
Thousands of blades pierced through the coffin's surface from every direction. Oden's scream echoed as the box vanished, revealing him kneeling in blood, gasping, broken, but alive.
"…So weak," muttered Saitama, standing off to the side with a bored look. "Not even as fun as Boros."
"Obviously." Daemon rolled his eyes. "Boros could destroy a planet. Kaido's just a noisy brute."
"Still kinda disappointing," Saitama shrugged, rubbing his bald head as he eyed Daemon and Aizen. "But now I'm even more curious about fighting you two."
Not far away, Akainu stared at the battlefield, jaw tight.
This battle,if it could even be called one,was too clean. Too fast.
The Hundred Beasts Pirates were supposed to be one of the most dangerous powers in the New World. Wano, a country even the World Government feared to touch directly.
And yet… in front of these monsters, they were crushed like ants.
"…So this is the true power of a Celestial Dragon," Sengoku murmured, his voice grim.
For the first time, he understood what Marshal Kong had tried to explain.
Not even the entire navy would stand a chance here.
Trying to resist Daemon… would mean death.
In the Chat Group
Esdeath: "Eh? That's it? Over already? Too fast!"
Uchiha Miyuki: "What else did you expect? Even Aizen could solo the Wano arc. Add Saitama and Daemon, and it's just overkill."
Jibril: "The Sky Is Dead… a Noble Phantasm that collapses space…? That's my field of expertise! And I'm completely useless against it!"
Yamamoto Mei: "…You were useless from the start. Daemon's Divine Evasion already ignored space. Now he has another tool for it."
Jibril: "Ahem. Still unfair!"
Luo Hao: "It's just too one-sided. There's no tension when the power gap is this large."
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "That's the fate of cross-world battles. The Nobleman's strength has left the Pirate World behind."
Esdeath: "Hmph! Crushing the arrogant is pleasure enough. Hearing their cries of regret is the true entertainment!"
Kocho Shinobu: "Esdeath-san… you're quite the sadist, aren't you? But… what will Mr. Daemon do with the survivors?"
Uchiha Miyuki: "Kozuki Oden and Queen are done for. Kaido and Moria will probably be spared, they're still useful."
Nakiri Erina: "Another batch of Noble Phantasms for Mr. Daemon. It's starting to feel unfair."
Luo Hao: "The Hand of Hermes, the Sky Is Dead… he has more cheats than a mobile gacha account."
Back in Wano
"Daemon-sama."
Akainu stepped forward, posture stiff, eyes burning with reverence.
The Magma Admiral had already made his choice. He would follow Daemon, without hesitation.
"Take Moria back to the Five Elders," Daemon instructed casually. "He'll be useful for controlling Roger's corpse."
His tone was light, almost lazy.
"Then you will execute 'Pirate King' Roger in public. After that, begin preparations for your inauguration."
"…Understood!" Akainu responded immediately, grabbing Moria's unconscious body and preparing to leave.
He didn't ask what would happen to Kaido.
Absolute justice,a concept that ultimately bends to the will of the one who claims righteousness.
In front of Daemon, even Akainu, once the face of uncompromising Marine resolve, had no courage to defy a command. Especially not after being defeated in a single stroke by this terrifying Celestial Dragon.
"Daemon Saint!"
As Akainu retreated silently, Sengoku approached, his expression grave yet respectful. "What should we do with these prisoners? Should we send them to Impel Down?"
Daemon gave a soft chuckle, one hand resting casually on the golden sword that had appeared in his palm.
"No need. Why waste money feeding scum?"
He stepped forward. The blade shimmered ominously as he walked slowly toward Kozuki Oden and the others, who lay defeated and broken.
"Ha… ha…"
Oden gasped for breath, his eyes wide with fury and pain. That same man,Daemon, had unleashed a storm of thunder upon Wano, wiping out his retainers and citizens in a single horrifying instant. And now, he stood there, smiling.
Daemon looked him over, then said with a mocking grin, "Your wife is stunning. Your daughter too. I imagine… she'll grow up very smooth."
Oden's bloodshot eyes widened in rage.
"Even if you were Roger's ally, I'll take good care of your family. Hmm… as for your son? Maybe I'll do him a favor and strangle the brat in his sleep. I'm practically merciful, wouldn't you agree?"
"Bastard…!" Oden's voice cracked with fury. "Fight me!"
Despite the grievous wounds inflicted by Aizen's Black Coffin, Oden summoned all remaining strength and lunged, sword raised.
But he never stood a chance. Not in this state. Not even at his peak.
"God's Avoid—"
Daemon's sword flashed once. Oden's head spun through the air, blood trailing behind, his eyes forever frozen in deep, bitter regret.
And it wasn't Daemon he regretted challenging.
It was the fact that he hadn't sent his wife and daughter away while he still had time.
Daemon tilted his head slightly as he studied the sword, sensing a faint ripple of energy through the Hand of Hermes. The death of Oden… the legend he carried… was being absorbed. Molded into a new Noble Phantasm.
"Interesting," he muttered.
Then his eyes shifted to Queen the Plague, who still lay unconscious after Saitama's earlier slap.
"Disgusting man," Daemon muttered coldly. He had no need for Queen's technology, and even less patience. In one clean motion, his sword swung again.
Queen's head rolled.
"Kozuki Oden… Uncle Queen… both gone…"
From a distance, Black Maria trembled, tears streaming down her face. But Yamato, her fists clenched, stood unmoving, staring down at Daemon.
She looked at Queen's lifeless body. Then at Kaido's broken form, only his head and shoulders remained. Her heart cracked.
"I'm going to sneak attack him," she whispered.
Logic didn't matter. She didn't care if she couldn't win. She wouldn't just watch her father die.
"BOOM!"
Yamato's feet shattered the ground as she launched forward like a cannonball, driven by fury and desperation.
"Take this, you twisted Celestial Dragon!"
She leapt high, swinging her mace with all her might, the same Thunder Bagua her father had taught her.
"Yamato!"
Kaido's voice rasped out, weak but filled with emotion. He had lost. He was dying. And now… his daughter was walking into death.
Daemon, however, showed no signs of concern. His expression turned amused.
"Oh? So you were hiding back there all this time?"
He smiled.
But kindness was not something he gave easily. Especially not to girls with foul mouths.
CLANG!
The mace struck Daemon's arm with a heavy thud.
Yamato blinked.
"Did… did I hit him?"
"You did," Daemon said lightly. "It just didn't matter."
His voice came far too close, far too calm. Yamato recoiled.
"What? Why doesn't it work? It always works on Dad…" (BS)
She raised her weapon again, confused and frantic, but Daemon was done playing.
In one swift motion, he grabbed her ankle, lifting her upside down like a child caught misbehaving.
"The punishment begins now, little brat."
His grip tightened. Then...
BOOM!
He slammed her into the ground.
Dust and rubble exploded outward. Blood trickled from Yamato's nose and mouth.
"Ah… it hurts…"
Her voice came out broken, like a wounded animal. But Daemon didn't pause.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The ground shattered again and again under her body as he continued the punishment, measured, controlled, but merciless. Each impact more painful than the last.
"Bastard... she's just a noisy brat!"
Kaido's roar echoed across the battlefield. Rage surged through his half-shattered body as he watched his daughter getting tossed around like a rag doll. "If you're going to treat her like that, you might as well kill her!"
"That's not ok dude...bullying a little girl like that…"
Even Saitama frowned, clearly displeased by Daemon's methods.
Just as he seemed ready to step in, a hand landed gently on his shoulder.
"If there's a disagreement between teammates," Aizen said with a soft smile, "I suggest you challenge Mr. Daemon to a duel later. That way, you won't spoil his fun now. Don't you think that's reasonable, Saitama-kun?"
Saitama said nothing, but his fists slowly unclenched. He wasn't happy, but he accepted it, for now.
On the battlefield.
Daemon had heard Kaido's shout, of course. He looked down at the bruised and battered Yamato, still dangling by the ankle.
"A kid?" he scoffed. "You ever seen a 'kid' swinging a mace big enough to flatten a truck? Don't insult my intelligence, Kaido."
Then a glint of amusement passed through his eyes.
"Hmm… maybe this will be fun."
From the God's Treasury, Daemon retrieved an item: the Demon's Egg. A twisted treasure gained after slaying Muzan in the world of Demon Slayer.
It allowed the user to forcibly mature into their adult body—physically, at least. The soul, memory, and mind remained untouched.
Daemon had originally dismissed it as a novelty, fitting for a narcissist like Muzan. But now? It seemed tailor-made for this situation.
"Let's see how grown-up you really are, little girl."
He tossed the egg toward Yamato, and it merged with her body in an instant.
"AAAHHH!!"
Yamato's scream was sharp and raw, her body writhing in agony as the transformation took hold. Her bones stretched, her frame expanded, and her features matured rapidly.
In seconds, the bruised teenager was gone—replaced by a striking young woman in her prime.
Porcelain skin. Crimson lips. A body honed and curved with impossible grace. Beautiful white hair spilled over her shoulders, framing a face that retained its innocence, yet radiated a woman's allure.
Her widened eyes fluttered open in shock.
"Yamato…?"
Kaido's breath caught. He barely recognized her.
Even Sengoku, Aizen, and Saitama stood silent.
In the chat group, chaos erupted.
Uchiha Miyuki: "Hey hey hey! She seriously turned into an adult? What kind of nonsense item is that?!"
Luo Hao: "It seems Daemon's degeneracy knows no bounds… though I can't say I'm surprised."
Eriri Sawamura: "This is more outrageous than my most outrageous doujin plot!"
Jibril: "After dragons and paper… now this? Is this Daemon-san's next game? But now that she's grown… it's time she takes responsibility for her recklessness, no?"
