Following the crow's guidance, Ryuji and the others soon left the Nan-Nan-Dong area. Around noon, Zenitsu, carrying Inosuke, was panting heavily and complained to Ryuji, "Ryuji-senpai, change! This dead… dead pig is too… too damn heavy!"
"Who's a dead pig?!" Inosuke, on Zenitsu's back, suddenly awoke, grabbed Zenitsu's ears, and twisted them hard.
"Aaah!"
Zenitsu screamed, "Let go! Let go!"
"Duel! Youngster!" Inosuke refused to let go, challenging Zenitsu.
Zenitsu, seeing Inosuke wouldn't release his grip, reached for Inosuke's crotch, squeezing gently, threatening, "Let go! You boar-head! Don't push me!"
Feeling the pain, Inosuke realized he'd been caught. He was furious but dared not act, angrily saying, "You yellow-haired brat! You're using such a cheap shot!"
Ryuji, who was walking ahead, stopped, turned, and approached them.
He extended both hands, his left hand gripping Inosuke's neck and his right hand on Zenitsu's arm.
With a precise application of pressure, Inosuke felt his body go numb, his grip on Zenitsu's ears involuntarily loosening.
Zenitsu experienced similar numbness, but only in his arm. His grip relaxed, and Inosuke's nether regions were spared.
Ryuji pulled Inosuke off Zenitsu's back. Completely numb, Inosuke was helpless, like a puppy, held by the scruff of his neck by Ryuji.
Tanjiro marveled at Ryuji's effortless resolution of the situation.
Ryuji's skill stemmed from a book on human neurology he'd read while bored at Tamayo's house.
His understanding of the nervous system allowed him to precisely apply pressure to paralyze Inosuke and Zenitsu.
After separating them, Ryuji released his grip. Inosuke immediately lunged at him.
Ryuji anticipated this. Before Inosuke could reach him, Ryuji's sword, still in its sheath, was pressed against Inosuke's heart.
"Quiet! This isn't the time for sparring! If you're not calm, next time, the sword won't be sheathed!" Ryuji warned coldly.
Inosuke froze. He knew that if Ryuji hadn't held back, he would be dead.
Seeing the tense atmosphere, Tanjiro stepped forward, moving Ryuji's sword away, and said with a smile, "Ryuji-senpai, Inosuke didn't know you liked quiet. You didn't have to be so serious!"
