"We can head to Moon Pavilion anytime, but we mustn't reveal the source of your Killing Intent. We'll need an excuse to hide the truth about you passing through Slaughter City."
"We'll say that my martial soul mutation affected my temperament, and I need the Noble Domain to stabilize it. As for Tang Yuehua, who knows about the Death God Domain, we just need to make sure she keeps her mouth shut."
Yu Yuanzhen clapped his hands and laughed. "Not bad, not bad. That way, we can conceal the news of obtaining the Death God Domain, and at the same time, show weakness to the outside world. Otherwise, your innate full soul power would easily attract envy."
A few days later, Heaven Dou City.
Yu Yuanzhen and Yu Tianming arrived first at Blue Tyrant Academy.
Unlike three years ago, this time Liu Erlong didn't wait in her thatched cottage. Instead, she came out to greet them personally and led them to the reception room.
Liu Erlong smiled warmly at Yu Yuanzhen. "Uncle, I didn't know you were coming, so I didn't prepare anything in advance. Please forgive the inadequate hospitality."
Yu Yuanzhen was well aware of Liu Erlong's temper. He hadn't expected her attitude to change so much in just two years. She now seemed to feel a genuine sense of belonging to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, which delighted him. He happily took a seat in the oversized chair and started laughing.
Now a Rank 97 powerhouse, his large figure and booming voice carried great presence.
Even though he didn't laugh loudly, the sound still resonated like a great bell, filled with powerful force.
"We're all family. No need for formalities. You've managed Blue Tyrant Academy for years and contributed a lot to the clan."
Seeing Yu Yuanzhen so pleased, Liu Erlong's expression turned even more ingratiating.
If Flender were present, he would've been utterly shocked: this "Mother Tyrannosaurus", usually hot-tempered beyond belief, was actually smiling so fawningly now?
Liu Erlong spoke up. "The Soul Master Tournament is coming next year. With Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi from our Blue Lightning Tyrant Clan and some other talented students, Blue Tyrant Academy has a great chance of reaching the top eight."
Sensing something off, Yu Yuanzhen frowned. "Blue Tyrant Academy was only established less than ten years ago. How can you be so confident about placing that high? Even if our clan's ventures aren't doing well, Erlong, there's no need to exaggerate."
"I'll call Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi over. The changes in them are significant. Once you see their current cultivation levels, you'll understand why I'm confident."
With that, Liu Erlong summoned a teacher and asked them to bring Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi.
Yu Tianming and Yu Yuanzhen exchanged a glance.
Both saw the chill in each other's eyes: had Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi told Liu Erlong about the Nine-Grade Purple Ganoderma?
The most important trait of a maid wasn't talent or care-taking skills—it was unwavering loyalty and the ability to keep secrets.
If they had revealed the Nine-Grade Purple Ganoderma to Liu Erlong, they could no longer be entrusted with great responsibilities. They might not even be allowed to stay by his side.
A thousand thoughts ran through their minds, but Yu Yuanzhen still turned to Yu Tianming and said kindly, "Good timing. They are Tianming's maids after all. It's been two years—let's see how much they've changed."
Before long—
A teacher brought Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi before everyone.
Now sixteen or seventeen, they had graceful figures. Even the standard Blue Tyrant Academy robes couldn't hide their elegant and refined appearances. The two looked about 60% alike—both extraordinarily beautiful, their features exquisite. Though they were born as maids, their composed gazes exuded an air of elegance and grace.
They stepped forward and bowed deeply to Yu Yuanzhen. "Ah Zhu / Ah Zhi, greetings to the Clan Master."
Yu Yuanzhen smiled kindly. "It's been two years. You've both grown into fine young ladies. No need to be so formal—go sit beside Tianming."
"Thank you, Clan Master," the two replied in unison, then sat down on either side of Yu Tianming.
Once they were seated, Liu Erlong beamed and looked at Yu Yuanzhen.
"Their cultivation has progressed rapidly these two years. Ah Zhu is now at Rank 38, and Ah Zhi is already at Rank 36. With them, Blue Tyrant Academy's chances of advancing have greatly improved."
Yu Yuanzhen sipped his tea. Seeing that Liu Erlong didn't mention the immortal herbs, he pretended to be shocked.
"Their talent was average. Yet their cultivation improved so quickly at Blue Tyrant Academy. Erlong, you must have taught them well."
Among the two sisters, the more perceptive Ah Zhu seemed to sense something.
But she said nothing, only discreetly pressed Yu Tianming's palm, signaling him to stay calm.
Feeling reassured, Yu Tianming feigned astonishment.
"Aunt Erlong, for you to elevate two average-talented girls to this level… you're practically a 'master' in education!"
Liu Erlong was naturally hot-tempered and bad at hiding her feelings. Hearing them praise her instead of mentioning Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi's origin, and even calling her a master—
All her fake courtesy could no longer be maintained. Her expression turned serious and respectful as she looked at Yu Yuanzhen.
"The speed at which Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi improved is beyond what someone with innate Rank 4 soul power could achieve. Uncle, you must have some method to help them break through their natural limits."
Hearing this, Yu Yuanzhen more or less confirmed that Liu Erlong didn't know about the immortal herbs.
He turned to Yu Tianming and unleashed a bit of his Rank 97 pressure, scolding sternly, "Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi's cultivation rose so quickly. Did you give them all your resources?"
Seeing the old man spout nonsense with such a serious face and immense pressure, Yu Tianming was stunned for a moment. Then he understood everything and quickly stood up, kneeling on one knee.
"Ah Zhu and Ah Zhi have always served me loyally, never complaining. I only shared a bit of my cultivation resources with them. Please punish me, Grandfather."
Ah Zhu also pulled the still-bewildered Ah Zhi to kneel beside Yu Tianming. "We maids have made a mistake. Please punish us, Clan Master."
Seeing them so quick-witted, Yu Yuanzhen's eyes revealed a hint of approval. But he still reined in his pressure and said sternly to Yu Tianming.
"Stand up. As Young Master of the clan, it's good that you're willing to share resources with those loyal to the sect. But in the future, inform me first before giving out your personal cultivation items."
"Thank you, Clan Master / Grandfather."
Liu Erlong watched their behavior and already believed most of it. Yet when she thought of Yu Xiaogang, who had been stuck below Rank 30 his whole life, she still held onto a sliver of hope.
She looked at Yu Yuanzhen sincerely.
"Uncle, I'm not asking for resources for myself. I just can't bear to watch Xiaogang struggle his whole life. I only want to give him a chance—to break through his limitations and become a Soul Elder."
