With Cian now unconscious on the floor the remaining members of the Red Team their shock momentarily overriding their fear finally surged forward.
They moved in a unified desperate assault. This was their last chance to salvage some small semblance of their pride. They had to put down this upstart Eric who had so thoroughly humiliated their leaders.
One of the Red Team members a lithe agile fighter leaped forward from behind Cian's fallen form. He launched a powerful kick aimed directly at Adam's head. Adam however moved with an almost lazy grace.
He leaned back slightly and the kick whistled harmlessly past his face. As he dodged his body already in motion he simultaneously lashed out with his left hand.
It was the same hand that was still wreathed in that pure white flame-like energy. He struck two other Red Team members who were rushing him from the side. It was a single fluid motion that connected with both their faces at the same time.
