Once our lips touched, I lost my ability to think or resist. I wanted to pull away from the kiss, I wanted to push Leonard away but I didn't. Instead I let the warmth and taste of Leonard's lips fill my senses.
My ability to think was suddenly restored, and I pulled away from the kiss, and from Leonard's hold. He looked at me with surprised and desired-filled eyes, and I stared back at him with embarrassment. How did I allow it to happen in the first place, I asked myself, rising but Leonard stopped me.
"Our baby needs this" He said, looking directly at me, and my face fell. Here I was, thinking the kiss was as a result of his true desire for me but it was all for the baby, and nothing else.
Even though I will come to agree sooner or later, it had to be on my terms. Right now, it's a firm NO! Leonard must not think for once that he could have me at will, Dr Cole's advice be damned for now.
