The battlefield is a warzone. Once-pristine streets have been cracked open like a broken puzzle, the ground torn apart by the sheer force of the ongoing battle. As Ren, Kaede, Mika, Haru, and Eiji face off against three kaijus—there is no rest, no retreat.
Ren broke the pressuring silence with a complaint, "Those damned hunters, isn't this their job?"
Ren stood in the chaos, his breath coming in ragged gasps as adrenaline coursed through his veins. His wide eyes darted around, taking in the chaotic battlefield, the looming threat of the Kaiju, and the unmistakable absence of a weapon in his grip. "How are we supposed to fight without weapons?!" he exclaimed, a tremor of panic underlying his voice.
"Hmph, not like I'll be needing it." Ren says confidently.
"Screw this... I don't need a weapon," he muttered under his breath. "I am the weapon."
Without another thought, he thrust his arms forward. Sparks erupted from his skin, flickering wildly as electricity snaked up his forearms, unstable and raw—like a storm barely held in check.
"Come on... just a little lightning. Just one bolt..." Ren whispered, fingers trembling as pale arcs of light danced between them, growing brighter but jittery, threatening to tear loose.
Inside his mind, a voice cracked sharp and annoyed. "You trying to short-circuit your soul, genius?" Raijin's words were like a cold splash, pulling Ren back from the edge.
The lightning sputtered, flickering dangerously. Ren clenched his jaw, sweat beading at his temples. "Then give me something!" he snapped inwardly, the sting of failure bitter in his chest. "I'll be the only one out here getting jumped, while you'll be sitting comfy in my head."
"That's called 'waiting for synchronization,' spark boy. Push it now, and your body's toast. Literally." Raijin retorted in response.
The crackling energy scorched his palm, forcing him to recoil. The lightning fizzled, snuffed out like a candle in the wind.
"Tch... you suck," Ren grumbled, rubbing his burned skin.
There was a pause, then Raijin's voice returned, slower, with a hint of disappointment. "What do I do with you..."
Ren raised a skeptical eyebrow, curiosity prying at the corners of his frustration.
In the depths of his mind, Raijin's voice surged forth, urgent and irritated. "Ugh, you HAVE weapons dumbass. You just haven't called them yet!"
Ren's brow furrowed in confusion. "Called them?! What do I say?! Do I yell 'lightning weapon go' or something?"
Raijin's exasperation rippled through the mental connection. "It's not a magical girl transformation! Just—feel it. Focus. Let me through."
Clenching his fists, Ren squeezed his eyes shut, drowning out the cacophony around him. His heart raced, aligning with an electric pulse that buzzed at his fingertips. With a fierce resolve igniting within him, he connected with the raw energy swirling in his core.
Suddenly, a crackling sound shattered the air, echoing like thunder. Twin daggers, charged with a violent surge of electricity, erupted into existence in his hands, unstable yet undeniably real. Ren opened his eyes, staring in awe at the weapons he had summoned. "No way… I did it," he breathed, marveling at the power he wielded.
Nearby, Kaede observed, her eyes narrowing with determination. "Okay, I want mine too—right now."
Zephyr stood beside her, his demeanor calm amidst the chaos. "You're already synced. Just let go and let it happen."
With a deep exhale, Kaede surrendered to the moment. A gust of wind spiraled around her, swirling with energy, before two sleek glaives materialized with a forceful slam against the ground. Without hesitation, she seized the weapons, a fierce grin spreading across her face.
In a shadowy corner of the chaotic scene, Haru remained silent, his expression unreadable as he concentrated. A faint shimmer sparked in his palm, and without a sound, a katana formed effortlessly in his hand. He regarded the weapon with a slight nod, accepting it as if it were simply a part of him.
Eiji, however, was not as patient. He frowned, his frustration mounting. "If I don't get a weapon in three seconds, I'm punching the next Kaiju with my face!"
Within an instant, the ground trembled beneath him as a massive war hammer materialized beside him, its weight cracking the pavement upon impact. Eiji's frown transformed into a wide grin. "That's more like it," he laughed, grasping the handle eagerly.
Amidst her friends, Mika felt the pressure building in her chest, anxiety mingling with desperation. She held out her hand, willing a weapon to appear. "Okay… come on. Come on. Just appear."
A flicker of flame danced precariously in her palm, a hopeful ember that flickered before fizzling out entirely. Infernia's voice whispered in her mind, strained yet sincere. "You're not ready yet. But when you are… they'll burn for you."
Sinking her hand, Mika clenched her jaw, disappointment coursing through her. No weapon manifested for her, only a fierce flame igniting in her eyes, a promise of potential yet to be fulfilled.
Around them, the world roared with chaos and hostility, but as each of her friends found their weapons, Mika steeled herself, ready to channel the fire that burned within, determined to join the fight in her own way.
Ren, gripping his twin daggers, suddenly moved at lightning speed. His sharp, calculated attacks aim to cut deep, but his enemies are no mere giants; they were really strong Kaijus with the power to level a whole city. Obsidian, an Earth Kaiju, towers over him, its rocky form nearly impenetrable. Ren slashes, but the blades barely dent the stone-like hide of the beast. The Kaiju retaliates by stomping forward, shaking the earth beneath them.
Ren dodges, narrowly escaping the crushing weight of its foot, but the shockwave knocks him back, his feet dragging through the debris. His body is bruised, bloodied from earlier exchanges. Obsidian turns, lurching with power, its massive arms swinging down toward Ren. He ducks and rolls, narrowly avoiding a fatal strike, but the wind from the swing sends him crashing into a destroyed wall.
Breathing heavily, Ren forces himself up, his legs unsteady. The moment he stands, Obsidian lunges, but Ren responds in kind, activating Raijin's elemental lightning charge through his daggers. The energy surges from the weapons, his form glowing with blue lightning as he slashes with a precision he hasn't quite mastered before, but the attack makes a deep gash across Obsidian's chest.
"Not enough!" Ren mutters to himself. He knows this fight isn't over.
Kaede is on the other side of the battlefield, her glaive crackling with wind energy as she faces off against Galehound, a Wind Kaiju. Galehound is fast—too fast. With each swing of her glaive, she cuts through gusts of wind, but Galehound simply appears behind her, darting through the air with ease. Kaede can feel the pressure of the fight mounting. She's exhausted, her breath ragged.
As Galehound reappears, a swirling gust hits Kaede with a force that knocks her back. The wind howls as she stumbles, her footing lost, but Kaede refuses to fall. She plants the glaive into the ground, using it as a pivot to spring back to her feet. The wind bites at her skin as she glares at Galehound. She won't let it end like this.
With a sudden burst of speed, Kaede swings her glaive upward, using her wind ability to guide the blade. The slash cuts through the air, creating a vortex of energy around her as she closes the distance. Galehound, caught off guard, tries to dodge, but the attack lands, sending it crashing into a pile of rubble.
Still, the fight is far from over. Galehound snarls, shaking off the blow, and swipes with its claws—fierce, lightning-quick strikes aimed at Kaede's head. She barely manages to block with her glaive, but the force of the impact sends her flying backward. Her body crashes into a wall, and for a moment, she can't breathe, feeling the weight of her injuries.
Mika, meanwhile, faces the fearsome Abyssfin, a Deepwater Kaiju. The Kaiju's toxic mist fills the air, suffocating and choking the life out of everything it touches. Mika's fire abilities flare around her, but the mist is relentless, pouring into her lungs, sapping her energy.
She stumbles backward, choking, but she refuses to give in. Summoning every ounce of strength, Mika raises her hand and creates a wave of fire around her to burn through the mist. The flames ignite, lighting up the battlefield, but Abyssfin is already preparing another toxic wave. Mika tightens her grip on her fists, stepping forward with determination, and she swings her hand in a massive arc.
The fire blooms outward, creating a massive flame tornado, roaring as it smashes into Abyssfin. The Kaiju reels back, screeching in agony as its body ignites, the toxic mist burning away in the heat. But it's not defeated yet—it lunges forward, claws extended, its massive body crashing down on Mika. She barely rolls out of the way in time, but the impact of the Kaiju's weight sends her skidding across the ground.
Haru faces Eclipse, a Shadow Kaiju. The Kaiju moves in and out of existence, its body a void that bends light and space. Haru's katana flashes with energy, his every movement sharp, but Eclipse is unpredictable—one moment it's in front of him, and the next, it's behind him, phasing through dimensions.
Haru grits his teeth, swinging his katana wildly as Eclipse teleports behind him again. This time, the Kaiju phases its hand through Haru's body, the cold touch sapping his strength. He falls to his knees, gasping for air, but he won't give up. Summoning the last of his energy, Haru stabs his katana into the ground, releasing a shockwave of energy that explodes outward in a wave, briefly destabilizing the Kaiju's form.
But before Haru can recover, Eclipse reappears, grabbing him by the throat with a tendril of shadow. It squeezes, and Haru's vision begins to blur. The pain is overwhelming, but his spirit is unyielding. He clenches his fist, pushing his katana into the ground even further. He won't fall here. Not like this.
Eiji, standing tall and firm, charges into battle against Obsidian once more, wielding his Titan Hammer with raw strength. The sheer force of his strikes sends shockwaves through the air, but Obsidian barely budges. The Earth kaiju counters with powerful earth-shaking slams, forcing Eiji to jump back. He slams the hammer into the ground, creating a shockwave that rattles the battlefield. For a moment, Eiji stands alone, sweat pouring down his face as he catches his breath.
The Hosts face the set of towering Kaijus alone—no Kaijus aiding them. Just their newfound weapons, just the system.

The city street was wrecked—cratered asphalt, chunks of concrete littered like fallen debris from a forgotten war. Smoke curled lazily from scorched ground, and the sharp tang of ozone clung to the air like static. A battered car lay half-crushed against a lamppost, its frame crumpled inward like paper.
Ren dashed in again—Twin Daggers crackling with unstable lightning. He vanishes in a flashstep and lands three hits on the Obsidian based Kaiju. Electricity sparks… but it absorbs the damage.
Then—
BOOM. A giant tail smashes Ren straight into a car, bones snapping.
Ren's body slammed into the vehicle with a bone-jarring crack, the force folding metal and shattering glass. His twin daggers, still humming with unstable lightning, skittered across the pavement. For a heartbeat, the world was still—choked in silence. The only sound was the faint hiss of electricity dying in the air.
Kaede screams.
"REN!!"
Her stance falters mid-air. Wind tunnel crumbles. She crashes into a building, hard. Her glaive slips from her grip.
Mika's pupils shrink.
He's bleeding. Too much. And—
BOOM! A fiery claw digs into her stomach, shattering her guard. Her flames flicker out on instinct. She hits the ground rolling.
Haru moves silently—katana slicing through incoming shadow tendrils, forming whirlpools midair to redirect them. He holds it together—until he sees Kaede limp.
He hesitates.
The illusion of everyone flashes in the corner of his eye.
Too slow.
CLANG. A claw knocks his katana away. He spins, barely blocking the next hit. Water surges to protect him, but he's already coughing blood.
Eiji stands firm. Titan's hammer appears with a metallic roar, weighty and slow—but deadly. He swings once, slamming it into a charging Kaiju's head, sending it staggering.
But then he sees Ren twitching. Mika trying to crawl. Kaede unconscious.
His eyes widen.
Eiji, "Why do I always end up the last one standing…"
He grits his teeth. Tries to shield everyone. But two Kaijus team up on him—one hits low, the other from above.
CRACK.
He kneels. His arm's broken.

THE SYSTEM BREAKS – KAIJUS RETURN
In their minds, each Host hears their partner.
Raijin (to Ren):
"You're simply still too weak."
Zephyr (to Kaede):
"You love him too much. Enough to get yourself killed. But dead wind doesn't blow."
Infernia (to Mika):
"Control your flame—or it'll burn you up. You're distracted because you're scared of losing Ren."
Aqua (to Haru):
"You think calm means safe. But even still water can drown a man."
Titan (to Eiji):
"You carry everything. And that's why you're breaking. Let me carry you, dammit."
> SYSTEM OVERRIDE – HOST CONNECTION FAILING
KAIJU WILL NOW TAKE OVER COMBAT PROTOCOL
FORCED POSSESSION INITIATED
—burnt asphalt, cracked earth, smoke coiling around the Host squad. The opposing Kaijus, a squad of four, surround them—each raw, elemental beasts built to kill:
[SYSTEM ERROR – SYNC UNSTABLE]
They fall. One by one. Stripped of rhythm. Overwhelmed. Coordination's gone.
> The Kaijus swap in.
Zephyr, Infernia, Aqua, and Titan try to clean house—but it's already too late. Where's Ren.
Then came the hum.
A low, eerie vibration. The trunk of the car where Ren was, groaned under pressure. And with a sudden blast, it erupted outward in a violent surge of debris and light. Lightning arced through the air like vengeful spirits, dancing across shattered metal.
From the wreckage rose a figure—lean, confident, and crackling with raw energy.
Raijin emerged from the twisted remains, brushing glass from his shoulders with casual disdain. His bare arms glowed faintly. A soft crackle echoed as he rolled his neck with an audible pop, body leaving off a hiss with steam as Ren's body heals instantly.
"Tch," he muttered, voice low and annoyed. "Damn tail hits harder than it looks."
Smoke still thick in the air, but his eyes gleamed through the smoke—sharp, unbothered, and faintly amused. Lightning flickered down his right arm, coiling around his hand like a serpent waiting to strike.
He took a few steps forward, pausing only to glance down, "Oi, Ren..." Raijin said, raising his voice slightly, though a grin played at the corner of his lips. "Where's that confidence you were braggin' about?", mocking the unconscious Ren now inside him.
Ahead, the enemy loomed. The Obsidian Kaiju—taller than a two-story building, its body a living fortress of jagged, black crystal. Lightning still crackled uselessly across its surface, absorbed into its dense armor like water into sand.
Raijin tilted his head slightly, expression darkening. "Heh. Getting bodied already? And here I was, just starting to enjoy the show."
The sky above stirred. Raijin raised his hand toward the heavens, his fingers loose but deliberate.
Lightning shreds the atmosphere. The ground scorches into glass.
He steps forward, ahead of the rest—towards the four towering kaijus.

Raijin's Reaction:
Raijin tilts his head back, his smirk widening as he read through the Kaiju data on his screen.
"Obsidian, huh? A slow mountain... Doesn't sound too impressive. If it's that slow, I'll just fry it before it even gets close. Earth's too grounded for my tastes. And regeneration by eating rocks? Pathetic."
He chuckles, then scrolls to the next Kaiju.
"Eclipse... Shadow Kaiju, huh? Flickers between dimensions? Sounds like a coward who can't even face me head-on. Weak in light, huh? Good thing I control the damn storm. One strike, and that thing's out of the picture."
He grins, eyes lighting up as he moves to the next entry.
"Galehound? A speed freak, huh? So, it's all about wind pressure and speed. That could be a problem if it was smart enough to land a hit. But grounded? That's where I'll crush it. No one runs from Raijin, not even a mutt."
He leans back and taps the screen, his fingers glowing faintly as he reads the last entry.
"Abyssfin... Toxic, huh? Mist and spores? Please, I'm not afraid of a little stink. It's got to drink water to stay strong? Let it drown in its own weakness. I'll crush this one till there's no water left in it."
Raijin smirks again, confident in his dominance.
"None of these Kaijus stand a chance against me. They should just give up now and save themselves the trouble."

Vs Obsidian:
Raijin throws his Pulse Dagger into it's armour, then uses a pseudo-arm to yank it back while it sank into its flesh.
Another pseudo-arm crushes a chunk of terrain Obsidian was absorbing
Final blow: On getting close, he rams another Pulse dagger into Obsidian's jaw and then overloads it—melting the Kaiju's face
Vs Galehound:
Raijin lets Galehound blitz him
As the wind beast slashes past, a pseudo-arm fires a shock tether, pinning it midair
He switches to Magnetic Glaive, slashes the tethered target with brutal force, and drags it to the ground with electromagnetism
Vs Abyssfin:
Raijin walks into the toxin mist—doesn't even flinch
Pseudo-arm reaches into the mist, swaps to Plasma Katana
He slices the mist itself, ionizing it, destabilising Abyssfin's ability to cloak
Finishes it off with a literal reverse flow—uses his pseudo arm to squeeze water out of its body using voltage polarity. Abyssfin crumples
Vs Eclipse:
Eclipse tries to phase.
Raijin doesn't care.
He switches to a graviton-enhanced spear, stabs the dimension tear before it closes, Eclipse screams from inside the void
---
The battlefield lay in ruins, a fractured wasteland of shattered earth and cracked skies, crackling with residual power. Amidst the desolation, four figures—Kaijus trapped in human bodies—watched with sharp eyes and heavy hearts.
Infernia, inhabiting Mika's form, frowned, her voice laced with disbelief. "...Okay. This wasn't in the plan."
Zephyr, nervously laughing through Kaede's lips, added, "He's not even showing off. He's just executing."
Titan's presence in Eiji's body was dead serious, his voice low and measured. "He's done playing support. Raijin wants to show the world who the apex is."
Aqua, cold and unyielding, observed, "Control's gone. This isn't partnership. This is dominance."
Raijin's glowing eyes flickered in the storm's fury, but for a brief, haunting moment, something more—something less—showed through. Not Ren. Not Host. Just Raijin: eyes blank, core glitching, the system dissolving from within.
Then the ominous message blinked in their shared consciousness:
> [FULL TAKEOVER COMPLETE – HOST LOCKOUT ENGAGED]
All safeguards removed
Ping!
The storm that had been simmering suddenly erupted. Raijin no longer resembled a warrior; he was the storm incarnate. His body pulsated with surging energy, veins of blinding lightning coursing wildly beneath cracking skin. His form shifted and warped, breaking free from the limits of his humanoid shape, eyes shining with raw static. The system overload sparked off him like erratic bolts—he was no longer a soldier but a force of unrelenting destruction, unshackled, untamed, and merciless.
Titan's eyes narrowed within Eiji's body, voice heavy with warning. "That was not battle instinct. He's losing himself. This... that was desperation."
Zephyr's voice trembled, riding the winds inside Kaede's frame. "He wasn't not thinking. This is all power—raw, unfiltered. Like he already knew every weak point, every move his opponents would make."
Aqua's calm gaze betrayed concern. "We've seen him unleash before... but this? This isn't the same."
Infernia's tone was flat, void of hope. "He's past the point of reasoning. He's not Ren. We'll have to take him down. He's simply a threat now."
Inside Ren's fractured consciousness, a war raged. His sense of self flickered and twisted beneath the storm of Raijin's dominance. His scream was swallowed by the Kaiju's relentless voice echoing through his mind:
"Weakness is for those who hesitate. Weakness is for those who care."
His heart pounded in erratic bursts, clawing at that fading thread—a single fragile memory. Rika's face. That spark of something human, untouched by the tempest. It was faint, almost lost beneath the roar, but it held fast.
Then with a quiet whisper, Raijin said. "They're quite similar..."
Meanwhile, Titan—still in Eiji's body—stepped forward, the weight of his hammer grounding him amidst the chaos. His voice rang out steady, commanding: "Ren... you're not alone in this."
With a swing that shattered the ground, Titan's hammer sent shockwaves crashing toward Raijin, forcing the storm to recoil.
"You're fighting for something... Remember that," Titan insisted.
For a heartbeat, the storm faltered. Raijin's form flickered, eyes flashing with a glimmer of Ren's stubborn will.
"...maybe, just maybe you're right," Raijin muttered, voice uncertain.
Suddenly, the system flashed a warning:
> [SEALING PROTOCOL INITIATED]
Target: Raijin (Lightning Affinity)
Bond Disruption Detected.
Power Restraint Activating...
Elemental Lockdown: Lightning Properties Neutralized.
Kaiju Form: Sealed. Human Form: Disengaged.
Host-Kaiju Bond: Severed Temporarily.
Kaiju Form: Encased in Stasis.
Host's Abilities: Power Drain Activated.
Warning: Host may experience significant
weakness. Proceed with caution.
Sealing Status: COMPLETE
Raijin's Presence: Dormant
The sealing was temporary, a fragile truce between Host and Kaiju, their energies reverting to baseline, monitored closely.
With an audible snap, the lightning shattered and collapsed inward, Raijin's form imploding back into Ren. The storm's fierce energy flooded Ren's body all at once, overwhelming him. He staggered, eyes dimming back to their normal shade before his body finally gave out.
Ren crumpled to the scorched earth, unconscious, utterly spent.
Infernia's fire flickered with irritation as she approached, voice sharp. "Seriously, Raijin? What the hell was that? You act like the fight's a joke." She shook her head, frustration softening as she looked down at Ren's broken form. "If you were a bit less arrogant, maybe we wouldn't be in this mess. And now we have to deal with this... Nice going, lightning boy."
Zephyr floated nearby with a teasing smirk, breezy as ever. "Infernia's right. Raijin always needs to make things extra dramatic. It's like he forgot about teamwork."
Aqua knelt beside Ren, her voice gentle yet worried. "He gave everything he had... but was it really necessary? Even Raijin has limits." She brushed a stray lock of hair from his face, eyes full of quiet concern. "This moment... it shows how fragile everything really is."
Titan's deep voice echoed with authority, tinged with caution. "Raijin's recklessness risks more than just his own body. The bond between Host and Kaiju isn't a weapon to be abused."
The ruined battlefield was silent once more, the storm spent for now. But all knew this was only the calm before the next storm.
Titan's massive form stands tall, looking down at the group.
"We all have our roles. He should have recognized that Ren's body is not an infinite vessel. Pushing him like that..."
Titan pauses, his tone lowering as if to acknowledge the weight of the moment.
"This won't end well if it continues."
As the scene unfolds, Infernia crosses her arms, muttering under her breath as she looks toward Raijin's dormant form, her temper still running high. Zephyr floats idly, occasionally spinning in the air, her playful mood undeterred. Aqua, ever calm, keeps her focus on Ren, while Titan watches with a quiet, authoritative gaze. All of them now share an unspoken concern about the bond between Host and Kaiju, and the dangerous limits it might reach.
