Sylvara, like Korzath, couldn't make out Drae'mon's shadow, but they could guess who it was.
After all, they had seen the records of the battle that took place the previous day in the Ebonveil system.
"What do I do?!" Sylvara murmured, her eyes teary. She hadn't expected something like this, not so soon at least. She knew she'd be safe; the Aberration was on her side, from what she'd seen, but her heart ached.
She didn't want Korzath to die.
"Surrender!" she said with a mental whisper toward the devil, but he didn't even hear it before his head was cleanly severed.
Despite his unleashed Authority, he could do nothing against the skeleton.
"Noooo!" Sylvara screamed, tears in her eyes, her radiant form trembling with a grief that seemed to ripple through the starlit void.
But noticing a fixed gaze on her, as if questioning what she was opposed to, Sylvara added, "I so wanted to kill him myself!"
