Lyra's POV
"We have a lot to talk about, Lyra." Zarek said. And for probably the first time since I have known this version of him, his gaze was smoldering. I felt his eyes drilling holes into my body.
I didn't understand the reason for his sudden countenance, but I stood upright while still hanging onto Aurora's support. "I don't think we have anything to talk about, Zarek." I responded, my tone defiant.
"Yeah. We do," Zarek threw his head to the side. A silent conviction thickened his voice. With a rush of air that brought down everything in his wake, letting them fall and clatter on the ground, the discordant noises echoing loudly against the stone walls, he teleported to me.
He snatched my arm, his fingers like a band to my skin. "We have a lot to talk about, Lyra." Now his gaze was so hot, it burned me. I looked away from him. Even Aurora felt it.
