Riven used the stairs to get down to the third floor. As soon as he got there, the smell of mold and old wood filled his nose.
He looked around, and this floor was not the same as those above. The walls were made of stone bricks, and the ceilings were reinforced with wooden beams that had seen better days.
Riven looked around. There were so many paths to floor right off the bat, but he didn't have a good feeling about this third floor—it felt like something was already watching him.
Suddenly, he sensed something headed for him. He moved out of the way just in the nick of time as a spear shot past his ear and stuck to a wall behind him, blasting a deep hole into the wall.
Immediately, he pulled out his sword and charged into the hallway. He spotted a figure standing in the far distance of the hallway, and he knew that was the being that attacked.
