"Very beautiful," a soft female voice hummed in Lowena's mind, causing her to freeze.
Who are you? How are you in my head? Lowena thought.
Suddenly, a rush of adrenaline flooded over her. The more she tried to breathe, the more difficult it became. Her body began returning to human as she started trembling and shivering from how weak she was becoming. It felt as though darkness was consuming her from the inside out. The darkness began to take her sight and sense of touch. Everything around her grew eerie and black.
"S-stop!" Lowena screamed, her voice hurting the betas.
Lowena's knees caved in as she braced herself on her palms. Melissandra knelt, pressing her hand to the small of Lowena's back. Her eyes were glowing an intense fuchsia. Suddenly, an unforeseen force slammed Melissandra back into the wall.
"Ugh!" she groaned, spitting black gunk from her mouth, "Bite her!"
"What?" Kage questioned, aiding Melissandra to her feet, "There's something in her! I can't draw it out. The only way to stop it is to knock her out before it does."
"Don't worry, we don't want to hurt you," a male and female voice began echoing in Lowena's mind, "We just wanted to meet you."
"What is it?" Kage asked.
"I don't know!" Melissandra grunted in pain while shoving Kage over to a trembling Lowena.
"Lowena, can you hear me?" Kage asked.
He stood behind her, kneeling, his groin pressed to her ass as he crouched over. His right hand gently cradled her throat, pulling her back onto her knees. Kage could feel her pulse racing against his fingertips, her damp, slick flesh making his cold skin heat from the touch.
"Lowena?" he whispered, "I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm trying to help you."
Lowena felt the darkness within her growing. She rotated her upper body and latched onto Kage's neck like an animal. Her nails grew, digging into his back as she used him for leverage to rotate and face him in a squatting position.
"Lowena!" Kage winced, "Stop!"
Kage seized the nape of her neck, clenching a lock of her hair, and pulled her fangs free from his flesh. His eyes widened in shock as he saw blackened, pitless eyes, her pale skin, and the crimson blood smeared across her mouth.
"Lowena?" Kage whispered.
"Get out of her!" Caspian ordered, latching Lowena's arms behind her back.
"Ahh!" Lowena screamed, an unseen force sending everyone into the room's walls.
Caspian and Kage remained untouched.
"You can fight it, Lowena," Caspian said into her left ear.
Kage's blood-yellow eyes began to glow as he saw Caspian's nymph fangs grow from his gums. Before Caspian could make his mark, Kage sank his teeth into Lowena's right collar as Caspian sank his teeth into her left.
"Agh!" Lowena cried out.
The pain radiated as she felt their teeth sink into her. Both of their venom began to soothe her racing heart almost instantly. Tears of ecstasy streamed down her cheeks. The darkness in her eyes began to clear as her body began to tremble beneath them. Caspian released her arms as his shoulder cradled the nape of her neck. Kage held her hips, pressing his torso to hers as he felt the muscles in her body relax.
"Ugh!" Lowena whimpered as her knees gave out.
They released their mouths from Lowena in unison, easing her unconscious body to the floor.
