Chapter 37 - Chapter Thirty Seven-Lexis? Or his lookalike?

George was standing beside him.

"What if I—." Owen trailed off as he was called by George, "Mr Desmond."

He looked up, and his face was soon masked with the same shocked look on Sabrina's face.

"Mr Waynold?," he got up, "sorry for my inconvenience. I don't know that—."

"No problem." George waved it off, even though there was a huge problem beside him;

That was literally a raging fire!

He could feel the way Lexis' countenance changed the moment he stepped in and had his eyes on Sabrina and Owen.

Sabrina looked away from him, masking her expression so fast like she didn't notice him.

Lexis' face turned ashen by her action.

"Mr Woodsman, well…he just came to check up in the departments, but now that we see you all are doing well, we will take our leave now." George said, glancing at Lexis who had turned and walked out without saying a word.

It was when George left too did Sabrina breathe out in relief.

She had been stiff, thinking Lexis had come to meet her personally.

Owen noticed the pale look on her face, "What's wrong?."

She blinked before pointing at herself, "Me?."

"Yes."

"Oh, well, it feels suffocated in here, that's why." She shifted away, giving an awkward smile as she fanned herself. She just realised the closeness between them was a bit personal.

"Then—."

"I'm not really feeling well," she got up from the chair, interrupting Owen who wanted to say something, "please excuse me, I need some fresh air."

Before he could talk, Sabrina had long walked out.

Owen sighed. How would he tell her that he was interested in them being friends?.

"Sabrina, I don't really wish to go home now," Daisy said as she glanced at the warm, blue sky, "the weather looks perfectly fine for some hangout."

Because today was Thursday, the workers were dismissed early for rest. Hence, Sabrina and Daisy were trekking under the warm, friendly weather.

Sabrina looked up too, "The weather does indeed look good for a hangout." She agreed, which caused Daisy to sigh in disappointment.

From the look on her face, Sabrina knew she didn't want to go home.

What would she do at home anyways?

Lexis wouldn't be around, and even if he would, they wouldn't even talk to eachother.

She checked the time on her watch, it wouldn't hurt to have a little fun right?

"What if…," Sabrina trailed off as she looked at Daisy, "we start your glow up right now? I mean, doing our hair and fixing nails and shopping?."

Daisy blinked her eyes, confused when she suddenly gave a huge grin and hugged Sabrina tightly, "Oh my! You're really doing that for me right now? I really love you!."

Sabrina smiled at her excitement.

"But, I must tag my best friend along."

"Hey Sabrina!." Sabrina was discussing with Daisy in a playground when she heard someone yell her name.

She looked behind her to see her best friend, running and waving her hand at her.

Windy halted infront of Sabrina and Daisy, breathing heavily, "Running really is an exercise." She said, which earned a chuckle from Sabrina.

Windy looked at the nerdy looking woman, with a small smile, "Hey."

"Hi." Daisy smiled back, extending her hand for a handshake, "I'm Daisy, Sabrina's colleague."

Windy accepted her handshake, "I'm Windy, Sabrina's close friend."

"I know, she talks about you a lot."

Windy threw a sheepish look at her best friend, "She does? No doubt she do. I'm the love of her life."

Sabrina rolled her eyes while still grinning, "Okay girls, let's go for some fun while we still have time, shouldn't we?."

"Okay." Windy and Daisy chorused the same time.

Sabrina, Windy and Daisy went to the hair salon to get their hair done and nails done, before afterwards going for clothing shopping.

It was there Sabrina found out Daisy didn't have eye problem—she only fancied wearing big squared glasses.

"You don't need these." Was what Sabrina had said as she discarded the glasses.

Surprisingly, Daisy and Windy had gotten along so well that it even shocked Sabrina; but she wasn't suprised much—both of them had two obsessions in common, and those were anime and novels.

Currently, she was fed up of hearing about them arguing about who was the better romance writer than the other.

"What are you saying?," Daisy, who looked like the completely different version of herself said as she hit Windy with a bag filled with stuff, "how could you say Briar Boleyn is better than Ana Huang?."

Windy shrugged, "That's my opinion though, Briar Boleyn is better than Ana Huang."

"That's bullshit! I know Briar is a very good romance author, but Ana Huang is top notch!."

"That's crazy—."

"C'mon girls!," Sabrina faced the two ladies bickering like kids, "you can argue about this in a more private place. You guys are making people look at us like we have gone mad or something."

"Sorry." Windy laughed, and wanted to say something when she caught sight of an ice cream truck.

She tapped on Daisy's shoulder, "Why don't we go get some ice cream? I'm really thirsty."

Daisy nodded her head in agreement, "Sounds good." She faced Sabrina, "Sabrina, you wait here, we are going to get the ice cream."

Sabrina simply waved them off.

She stood by the side, patiently waiting as she watched Windy talking with the ice cream seller when someone suddenly bumped into her, so hard she fell down, causing the stuufs in her bag to fall out too.

It was a hoodies guy.

He quickly bent down to pick her stuffs, "Sorry, I wasn't watching my way." He apologised. Sabrina was about to tell him not to worry when she was muted at the sight of his face.

"Lexis.?" She found herself mumbling.

The guy stared at her with his blue eyes before racing away.

Was that guy now…Lexis? It couldn't be. Lexis didn't have blue eyes.

But he really did look like him. He looked so much like Lexis.

Or was Lexis stalking her and wore eye contrasts so she wouldn't suspect him?

She dusted her body and quickly stood up and looked at the direction the hoodied guy ran to, but there was no trace of him.

Who was that guy?

Lexis?

Or his lookalike?
