Chapter 81 - Wrath of Ghost scorpion

The Scorpion Valley

The Scorpion Valley stretched out like a cursed wasteland, its cracked terrain littered with the bleached remains of countless creatures. The air was thick with an acrid stench, a mix of venom and decay, while jagged cliffs loomed over the valley like silent sentinels. Strange black clouds churned above, dimming the sun and casting an eerie gloom over the landscape.

At the heart of the valley lay a massive obsidian mound, glowing faintly with green light. This was the lair of the Ghost Scorpion, one of the ten most fearsome Beast in existence.

Samael, as usual, broke the silence with his antics. "Oh, good, a place that smells like death and regret. You really know how to pick the best vacation spots, Ravihiro."

Ravihiro ignored him, his Ryugan scanning the valley for movement. "Stay focused. The Ghost Scorpion isn't like anything we've faced before."

Samael smirked. "Relax, I've got a poison for every occasion. But if you're worried, I'll let you go first."

"Very generous of you," Ravihiro replied dryly.

The Ghost Scorpion Appears

As they ventured deeper into the valley, the ground began to tremble. A deafening screech echoed across the barren land, and the obsidian mound erupted.

The Ghost Scorpion emerged, a towering monstrosity with a translucent exoskeleton that shimmered like glass. Its massive pincers glowed with a ghostly green light, and its segmented tail, tipped with a barbed stinger the size of a spear, dripped with venom that hissed as it hit the ground.

Its eyes, a cluster of glowing emerald orbs, fixed on Ravihiro and Samael. With a chilling hiss, the scorpion slammed its pincers into the ground, summoning undead scorpions from the earth. These smaller, spectral creatures scuttled toward the duo, their ghostly forms glowing with eerie green flames.

Samael whistled. "Well, that's new. Guess I'll need to up my game.

The Battle Begins

Undead Swarm

The undead scorpions charged, their claws snapping viciously. Ravihiro summoned World of Scales, creating a barrier of spinning blades around him and Samael. The spectral scorpions collided with the barrier, shattering into green mist.

Samael grinned, summoning his weapon, Fang of Corruption, and infusing it with his latest skill, Venom Spire. The spear extended, releasing a wave of poison spikes that impaled the approaching scorpions.

"Got your back!" Samael shouted as he dodged a lunging undead scorpion and slammed a poison bomb into its face.

Ravihiro, meanwhile, activated Hellfire, enveloping Kageha in black flames. With a swift motion, he unleashed Tandav: First Form, cleaving through a wave of undead scorpions in a fiery arc.

The Ghost Scorpion Strikes

The Ghost Scorpion let out a guttural screech, slamming its massive pincers into the ground and summoning a towering wall of green fire. It reared back, its tail lashing out at Ravihiro with terrifying speed.

Ravihiro activated Sword of poison, coating Kageha in deadly poison, and parried the tail strike. The impact sent shockwaves through the valley, cracking the ground beneath them.

Samael, seeing an opening, launched himself into the air and hurled a barrage of poison-tipped daggers at the scorpion's eyes. "Let's see how you like being blind!" he taunted.

The Ghost Scorpion screeched in rage, its tail whipping toward Samael. Ravihiro used Eclipsing Blades, summoning a storm of slashes to intercept the attack.

Unleashing Power

Samael's Ultimate Skill

Samael planted the Fang of Corruption into the ground, summoning his ultimate skill, Toxic Maelstrom. A swirling vortex of poison erupted around the scorpion, dissolving the undead minions and eating away at the beast's exoskeleton.

"Didn't see that coming, did you?" Samael shouted as he unleashed another barrage of poison spikes.

Ravihiro's Tandav: Second Form

Ravihiro activated Tandav: Second Form, his movements becoming a blur of speed and power. Flames and poison surged around him as he unleashed a devastating flurry of strikes on the Ghost Scorpion's legs, severing one of its massive pincers.

The beast screeched in agony, its green flames intensifying. It summoned a massive spectral scorpion, a towering creature that mirrored its master's form.

"This just keeps getting better," Samael muttered, dodging the spectral scorpion's tail.

The Final Assault

Ravihiro channeled the power of his previous rings, combining Hellfire, World of Scales, and Venomfang Sword into a single, devastating attack. With a roar, he unleashed a Flaming Blade Storm, raining fiery, venomous blades down on the Ghost Scorpion and its spectral summon.

Samael followed up with Corrosive Strike, charging his spear with concentrated venom and driving it into the spectral scorpion's core. The ghostly creature disintegrated into green mist, leaving the Ghost Scorpion vulnerable.

Ravihiro seized the opportunity, driving Kageha into the Ghost Scorpion's chest. Activating Tandav: Second Form again, he unleashed a fiery explosion that shattered the beast's exoskeleton and sent it crashing to the ground.

The Ghost Scorpion Ring

As the beast dissolved, a massive ring appeared, glowing with an ominous green light. Ravihiro absorbed it, and the ability, Expandable Sword, manifested within him.

The ability allowed him to summon a whip-like sword that could extend and retract at will, striking with precision and overwhelming force. The sword's edges dripped with venom, capable of dissolving anything it touched.

Samael stared in awe. "You just keep getting scarier, don't you?"

Ravihiro smirked, sheathing Kageha. "Let's move."

The Hidden Tail

Unbeknownst to Ravihiro and Samael, the Ghost Scorpion's tail, severed during the battle, had fallen behind Ravihiro. As they turned to leave, the tail, still pulsating with venomous energy, slithered silently toward Ravihiro and attached itself to his spine.

Ravihiro paused, sensing something, but Samael interrupted. "Hey, don't go all brooding on me now. We've got more beasts to hunt!"

Shaking off the unease, Ravihiro followed Samael out of the valley, unaware of the sinister change taking root within him.
