Blue flames flickered in the night air, dancing against the glow of Reiji's golden Hellfire.
For a moment, neither moved.
Then—Dabi smirked.
"You know," he mused, rolling his shoulders, "I was really hoping we'd get a rematch."
Reiji grinned. "Oh? You a fan of losing?"
Dabi chuckled. "Not really. But I like seeing what happens when strong people break."
The air grew heavier.
Then—they moved.
The First Clash
FWOOOM!
Blue and golden flames collided mid-air, the heat distorting the air between them.
Reiji sidestepped Dabi's first attack, vanishing with Phantom Step before reappearing behind him.
His fist—coated in Hellfire—struck toward Dabi's back.
But—
Dabi twisted unnaturally, dodging the strike at the last second.
Reiji's eyes flickered.
[Fast.]
Dabi smirked. "Getting slow, Kurobane?"
Reiji chuckled. "Nah. Just making sure you don't drop dead too fast."
Dabi exhaled slowly, his flames surging higher.
"Let's change that, then."
Then—he attacked.
A Battle of Flames
BOOM!
Dabi's flames erupted, swallowing the entire rooftop.
The heat was overwhelming, even for Reiji.
But—he didn't back down.
Instead—he charged through the fire.
Dabi's eyes widened slightly.
[He's not even trying to dodge?]
Then—
"Hellfire Blitz."
BOOM!
Reiji's flaming fist slammed into Dabi's ribs, sending him flying through a wall.
Dabi coughed, rolling back onto his feet, his coat scorched and tattered.
But—he was grinning.
"Heh," he chuckled, wiping blood from his lip. "That one hurt."
Reiji smirked. "You'll feel the next one even more."
Dabi exhaled. "Guess I should stop holding back."
Then—his flames shifted.
The temperature spiked, the air itself crackling.
And for the first time, Reiji felt something strange.
Pain.
His skin burned.
[What the hell?]
Then—he realized.
Dabi's flames weren't just fire.
They were hotter than normal fire. Hotter than his own Hellfire.
Dabi grinned. "Figured it out?"
Reiji's eyes narrowed. "You're overheating yourself."
Dabi chuckled. "Yeah. And you're gonna burn with me."
Then—he lunged.
Reiji dodged left, avoiding a blue flame strike, then countered with a golden fire uppercut.
BOOM!
Dabi staggered back, but immediately countered with a flame wave.
FWOOOM!
Reiji gritted his teeth as the flames burned his skin.
[Shit. That actually stings.]
Dabi laughed. "That's right, Kurobane! I burn hotter!"
Reiji exhaled slowly.
Then—he grinned.
"Maybe. But you burn out faster, too."
Dabi froze.
Then—he realized.
His body was shaking.
[Dammit. My Quirk's limit…]
His skin was burning.His movements were slower.
Reiji smirked.
"And you just ran out of time."
Dabi gritted his teeth. "Tch."
Then—Reiji vanished.
Dabi barely had time to react before—
"Infernal Blitz."
BOOM!
Reiji's golden flames surged, his entire body moving like a blur.
One punch—to the ribs.
Another—to the jaw.
A final—flaming kick to the chest.
Dabi was sent flying, his body crashing through a nearby building.
Silence.
Reiji exhaled, rolling his shoulders.
"Yeah," he muttered. "That's what I thought."
Then—he turned toward the battlefield.
[Now. Let's go get Bakugo.]
Deku, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Iida rushed through the wreckage, pushing toward the League's hideout.
Bakugo was inside, surrounded by Shigaraki and the remaining villains.
Bakugo gritted his teeth.
"Tch. Took you guys long enough."
Deku's eyes burned with determination.
"Hang on, Kacchan. We're getting you out of here."
Then—
The Pro Heroes arrived.
All Might.
Gran Torino.
Endeavor.
The battlefield exploded into chaos.
And just as the final battle was about to begin—
Reiji arrived.
He stood at the edge of the battlefield, golden flames still flickering around him.
And for the first time—he had made a choice.
To fight.
To win.
And to end this.
