Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

"Aren't you part of the cult?" He asked.

I shook my head quickly.

"Of course not!" I snapped.

We were silent for a second.

— Malgarith mentioned to me that there were several new members. I thought you would be one of them..." He scratched the back of his neck in confusion.

— Malgarith has an air of a dictator that he puts back down.

Kiri seemed to want to move on from the subject. To do this, he opened the room and invited me in.

"Don't be so him, sir. Come on, come in. But remember the rules if you don't want the Lord to kick you out of here.

I entered the room with a fearful step, carefully, as if something was waiting for me inside the room and was waiting to attack me. When I entered, the first thing I noticed was that the walls were made of wood, something that gave too much contrast compared to the walls outside. I noticed the two beds that were separated by a meter apart.

"Kiri..."

— What's going on? — He asked.

I pointed to the two beds and asked.

— Why are there two beds?

Kiri let out a small chuckle, along with a blush that was beyond strange. He went deeper into the room and replied:

"You will share a room with one or more of the other members of the cult. We do this to save space and leave more rooms free.

— Already...

I moved around the room, observing it in great detail. There was a large window right next to the leftmost bed in the room. That bed already had a name. It was mine. The curious thing was that there were no paintings. All the walls were bare, showing the wood and nothing but the wood.

In front of the beds there was a table, also made of wood, on which were some objects such as extinguished candles and a small lighter on one side of them.

"In that bed you have your clothes. You should get dressed..." he murmured.

I looked again at the bed, on which were the red garments that all the "Sons" of the place had. I didn't want to be part of them, but I also didn't intend to be naked all my life.

"Thank you," I replied grateful for giving me clothes.

"Well, I hope you enjoy your stay here, even if seeing you I don't think you will do it at all..." He said with disappointment. "If you need anything, I can call any of us, or do it on your own. His tone was too kind. I had liked him, and the loneliness that was going to happen from now on only made me want him to stay and chat for a while.

"Okay, I'll stay here for a while..." I looked at the whole room at a glance, looking for something I could do in the meantime.

- Have a nice day. He said goodbye with a smile and a blush on his cheeks. He walked out the door and closed it, leaving me completely alone.

I walked over to the bed and stared at the clothes for a moment before grabbing them and putting them on. When I finished I thought in my mind how this would look since they didn't have mirrors around here. I lay on the bed, lying on my back staring at the white stone ceiling. I was tired and my breathing was starting to calm down. My eyes closed slowly until, at last, I fell completely asleep.
