The next day I woke up. Joonseo was sleeping beside me, his arm stretched above my head, our bodies inches apart. The morning sunlight poured gently through the curtains, warming the room in a soft glow. I tilted my head slightly, only to find him already awake, his dark eyes watching me.
"Good morning," he said, his voice low and tender as he pressed a kiss to my forehead.
I smiled sleepily, a warmth blooming in my chest.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, his fingers brushing the hair away from my face.
"Yeah," I whispered. "You?"
"Best sleep of my life," he replied with a smirk.
I could feel his breath near my ear, and for a moment, I wanted time to pause right there.
Then it hit me.
"Oh no, what about my job?" I gasped and tried to sit up, but he gently pulled my arm, making me fall back onto the bed with a soft laugh.
"I told them you're taking a day off," he said.
My brows furrowed. "You did?"
"Remember, I'm the boss. I don't need permission to keep my wife at home."
