*BANG!
With a large bang, Biyo slammed his fist into the crystal wall he had formed the night before.
The thick ice cracked instantly, then shattered as chunks scattering across the forest floor.
In a few seconds, the pieces melted into steam and vanished, leaving behind an open path for the group.
"Now then, let's move, shall we?" Biyo said, stepping through the opening with heavy thuds crushing leaves and underbrush beneath his boots.
Jinn gave one last glance at the broken wall before turning to his friends.
"Let's go."
He followed behind Biyo, his hand resting lightly on the hilt of his sword—tapping—as the others fell into line behind him.
The air was thick with moisture and the sound of birds, the usual rustle of leaves and distant cries of unknown beasts always there—haunting.
As the group made their way deeper into the forest, the shadows shifted and stretched under the covered sunlight that barely reached through the high canopies up above.
