Victoria sulked as Hunter led her down the dimly lit corridor. Her steps were heavy with frustration, each one louder than necessary.
“Where exactly are you taking me?” Victoria snapped, her patience wearing thin.
Hunter smirked; he didn’t look back. “To your accommodations for the night, of course.”
He stopped in front of a wooden door and pushed it open. Victoria peered inside and immediately recoiled. Three young women lay sleeping on thin mats spread across the floor. The room was barely big enough for them, let alone a fourth person.
The scent of sex and overpowering perfume lingered in the air.
“You can’t be serious,” Victoria hissed, backing away from the doorway. “I am not sleeping in there with… with them.”
“What’s wrong? I thought you might like to make some new friends. Seeing as your traveling companions couldn’t care less about you,” Hunter mused as he leaned against the door frame, arms crossed.
