Chapter 7 - Azrael's mission

While Azrael continued his mission to steal elven magic, Crescent Sun 3 and Crescent Sun 1 (Hanzo) were sitting in a café in the kingdom, reminiscing about the old times they used to share. Crescent Sun 1's face turned red around her—perhaps he was feeling something for her, and she noticed it with ease. But since she wielded the anti-omniscience magic of the Elven Kingdom, Hanzo didn't know that she knew.

Crescent Sun 1: So... how exactly did you steal the magic? And how did you know it was that one?

Crescent Sun 3: Don't underestimate me, darling. The king of the elves didn't make it easy—he used to say that elven magic was impossible to teach, that it was something only born from an elf. But it's a lie.I figured out it was anti-omniscience magic because it works similarly to the magic that hides our names... but you have to be careful. That magic is a double-edged sword.

Crescent Sun 1: What do you mean?

Crescent Sun 3: I mean that if you mess up the spell, you could erase your own omniscience forever. And only another being with omniscience could give it back to you. But let's be honest—Azrael enjoys watching others suffer... and you? I doubt you would've helped me. (she says jokingly)

Crescent Sun 1: Oh come on, I don't even know your name. How was I supposed to help you? (he laughs)

Meanwhile, Nevaeh remained uneasy. She couldn't sit around doing nothing, so she returned home hoping Azrael would be back soon.

Nevaeh: I have to do something... I can't just sit here waiting for him. If he were in my place, he'd go out and look for me. I'll ask Crescent Sun 1 for help.

Nevaeh went out to look for Crescent Sun 1. On the way, some citizens told her they'd seen him in a café with a girl.

Once she found out which café it was, she headed there directly. And there they were, sharing a coffee.

Nevaeh: Hey! Crescent Sun 1!

Crescent Sun 1: I already know what you're thinking, Nevaeh. I knew you'd come.

Crescent Sun 3: Aww, yes... the girlfriend of the dark being.

Nevaeh: Watch your words. You're a foreigner—I've never seen you around here.

Crescent Sun 3: Oh... and the spoiled little girl, pampered by the king and protected by the kingdom's strongest knights, dares call me a foreigner? Who do you think you are? Looking for a fight, little girl?

Crescent Sun 1: Calm dow—

Before he could finish the sentence, Crescent Sun 3 stood up abruptly and faced Nevaeh.

Crescent Sun 3: You think some spoiled brat who barely knows how to swing a sword is going to tell me what to do?

Nevaeh: I'll say it one more time. You're a foreigner. And my father is the king.

Crescent Sun 3: Everyone knows your father—

Crescent Sun 1: That's enough!

Crescent Sun 3: Ugh... fine. I'll tell you where the dark one is.

Crescent Sun 1: Don't say a word.

Nevaeh: Wait... you knew where he was and didn't tell me?

Crescent Sun 1: I said I didn't know because the king sent him on a secret mission.

Crescent Sun 3: Ugh, all for nothing, really. Because I just came back from that mission. Maybe the king thought I was dead, although... I'm stronger than he is. (she laughs)

Crescent Sun 1: You're hopeless...

Nevaeh:You? On a royal mission?

Crescent Sun 3: Ugh, let me introduce myself. I'm Crescent Sun 3.

Nevaeh:Crescent Sun 3?!

Nevaeh, stunned, immediately apologized.

Crescent Sun 3: Don't apologize. Now let's go find Azrael. But fair warning—the Elven Kingdom was always said to be peaceful and weak, but it's the complete opposite. Their strongest knights are on par with the Crescent Suns.If war breaks out, I'm sure we'd win... but it wouldn't be easy.

Nevaeh: Alright. I understand.

Crescent Sun 1: Well... time to go get my friend.

Meanwhile, Azrael was still in the library, reading the book. He discovered that it was possible to learn elven magic, but some elven characters had never left the Elven Kingdom. They had remained completely unknown to the outside world for obvious reasons: the magic surrounding the kingdom prevented them from being revealed.

Suddenly, Azrael ran into another elf. But this was no ordinary elf… he was the Fourth Guardian of the King—in other words, one of the most powerful knights in the Elven Kingdom.

Guardian: Tobi...? I just saw you outside. How is it possible that you're here...?

Azrael stared at him silently, motionless.

Guardian: Oh, come on. Don't tell me... you're an intruder? Beings like you exhaust me.

The Guardian raised his hand.

Guardian: Mythic sword... come to me.

At that moment, a green sword with a golden edge appeared beside him, floating in the air as if responding to his will.

Guardian: Alright then... time to throw the intruder out.

Azrael let out a faint sigh and dispelled the disguise magic. His true form was revealed. The elf stared at him with a mix of surprise and fear.

Guardian: You... Azrael? No... it can't be—bastard! What are you doing here?! Was destroying your own kingdom not enough?

Azrael: Oh please... do you really think your little speech will make me cry? Do you really think a mere elf like you can stop me?I've decided to kill you... and take your place.

The Guardian stepped back, his face pale. He tried to flee, but it was too late.Azrael mercilessly ran him through with his shadow blade.

Guardian: No... this can't be... puah!(he spits blood) That sword...

Before the Guardian's body could hit the ground, Azrael reduced it to ashes with a simple gesture.

Azrael: Everything's a hassle... what a fiasco.

Meanwhile, Nevaeh, Crescent Sun 3, and Crescent Sun 1 stepped through a portal leading to the entrance of the Elven Kingdom. Their objective was clear: rescue Azrael…unaware that his hands were already stained with blood—once again.
