Malak didn't answer. He didn't like the way Nick was talking to him like he knew everything when he didn't know anything. But he reluctantly had to admit that Nick made at least one good point.
He should not leave Sosora's side.
In the first place, it wasn't realistic for him to do that, either. He wasn't some great warrior or explorer who could search all of the world's corners for something to restore Sosora's vision. Firstly, he was a member of the tribes.
The Bawin tribe wasn't that different from humans. But no one would look at someone from the Bawin tribe and think they were human, especially in the three kingdoms around Tiabe. He wouldn't be able to set foot in them without people recognizing him as being from the tribes.
With the volatile past between the three kingdoms and the tribes of Tiabe, Malak would be lucky if he even found a stone to overturn before being hunted down and killed or captured.
