It wasn't like they were completely trapped, per se. No, they were still in the opposite direction, encircling the dragon just like their original plan. However, the sheer destruction caused by the dragon really limited their mobility right now. There was nothing they could use around them as a protection anymore, and the terrain itself had already been destroyed so greatly that even walking normally was something hard to do. The only things surrounding them right now were either shattered rocks or destroyed trees, and those also played a huge role in limiting their movement.
Now, with them both being within the dragon's claws, it was easy for the flying beast to reach them, and while they could still dodge, the impact caused by the dragon's attack on the surroundings would somehow still affect them.
'Damn, this flying chicken! Is he really treating everything like a game?!' Levin cursed inwardly, his back met another chunk of huge rock.
