Karl hmphed, clearly skeptical, but didn't argue. Adrian finished arranging the array, its runes glowing faintly.
"Besides," he added, glancing at Karl, "try not to tell Von I'm still using this."
Karl nodded grudgingly, and Adrian activated the formation, the air being filled with mana around him.
