I couldn't believe it. To think this mad man was the owner of this wonderful place. I was beyond shocked that I had forgotten what to say and needed to find my words.
"You're the owner of this library?" I asked, my words barely making it out of my mouth audibly, and he twisted his eyebrows, twisted his lips, and placed his hands on his hips.
"Yeah, what about it?" He asked, and I threw my face away.
Gosh, it just wasn't done. Why? Why the hell was this guy the owner?
"You're... A reader." I muttered softly, but he was able to hear every bit of it.
My shock and disbelief, he could not understand, and he would not bother to understand because he had other business with me.
"Hey, you little shit, I don't know what you've been scheming while I wasn't around but let me tell you this, those schemes won't work on me." He said, grabbing my arm in an instant. It was a speed I couldn't evade even if I wanted to.
