"If I vouch for the guy, will you believe it?"
The rogues were surprised to see Doctor Ro but the words he said to them surprised them more.
"Wait, you're defending him?" Ramon asked, surprised. "Why? Did he pay you beforehand?"
Everyone knew that Doctor Ro only moved with money, and whatever he was doing that seemed like a hassle was due to getting paid beforehand.
"Oh sure, my patient just happened to know that some rogues were going to kidnap him and instead of reinforcing security, he decided to get kidnapped. Really smart." Doctor Ro said with that lazy sarcastic tone that Ramon bowed his head in defeat.
"Then, how are ya here?" The leader asked and Roland began to walk towards them.
"I asked your buddies." Doctor Ro said. "They didn't hesitate to tell me since I'm also a rogue. Pretty convenient," he brushed the back of his neck.
"Jeez, those guys told you just like that?" Marco asked, in disbelief. "This was supposed to be a secret mission."
