While Aurora was still asking how they can do that, Jav had already done that and began conversing with the alien.
"How?" she asked
"Just clear your mind and seek a connection" Jav answered her
In a minute both she and Haskier had begun telepathy communication with the alien, the ebony skinned infirmary hand was next, then the male infirmary hand and lastly Jeremy, who just connected. Bradley was still left out.
"This is great!" Jeremy exclaimed when he first said a 'hi' to the alien with his mind and she responded
"Super convenient!" Haskier remarked.
"Wait… what? How are all of you doing that?" Bradley asked looking from one to another, still confused as to how they were communicating with just their minds
"Just clear your mind and connect, Bradley" Jeremy told him
"And how exactly am I to do that?" Bradley asked, now getting frustrated about being the left out one. He got no other reply as everyone was focused on things of more importance at the moment.
"Can we also communicate with each other through telepathy?" Lou asked
"Can you connect to all of us at once?" Aurora asked the alien
"Yes, you can communicate with other as well if you but open your minds and seek connection, that may take more time and getting used to as it is not a trait common to your specie" the alien replied.
"And yes, I can hear all of you at once, Prissy" the alien said, referring to Aurora with the name she heard Bradley call her by earlier
Some of the others laughed, while Aurora scowled.
"I am sorry; do you not like to be called that? I assumed it is your name having heard you being referred by it earlier" the alien apologized and explained.
"I guess I could forgive that; it is Bradley at fault after all" Aurora replied. "I am Aurora by the way"
"Nice to meet you Aurora" the alien replied
Haskier then introduced himself and went on to introduce everyone else in the room to the alien, including Bradley, whose name the alien already guessed from what Aurora said.
"Now that you know us and what we are called, what are you called? What is your name?" Jeremy asked aloud for the sake of Bradley who was yet to connect to the alien.
"Or have you forgotten that as well?" Jav asked
"No, I did not forget my name, Jav" the alien replied. Aurora wasn't sure but thought that she did hear some sarcastic traces in the alien's tone.
"Then what's your name?" Jav asked
"Noic. I am called Noic where I am from" the alien replied
"Hmm. Nice to meet you Noic" Jeremy said, followed by the others. Then aloud he said to Bradley while gesturing to the alien seated on the infirmary bed, "Bradley, meet Noic"
"Hello Noic" Bradley politely said to the alien
Then he added with a laugh, "At least your name is pronounceable compared to our here Martian boy's birth name"
The others couldn't hold it as they laughed as well at the scowling Jav's expense. It wasn't their fault, it was true, his birth name is quiet unpronounceable and have no translation in any earth language.
