In the villa district, Daisy sat cross-legged on the couch, her long legs stretched out as she munched on snacks and half-heartedly watched TV.
Every now and then, she glanced toward the kitchen and complained,
"Lisa, do you have to be so serious? I barely get the chance to visit, and you're just burying yourself in the kitchen instead of spending time with me!"
Lisa emerged from outside, having just taken out a bag full of vegetable scraps and dumped them into the bin by the gate. She returned, tossed Daisy an unamused look, and rolled her eyes.
"Did I invite you over? And seriously, how the hell did your nose sniff out that I was staying home from work today?"
"Not working? No way! Miss Ice-Queen CEO, skipping work?" Daisy grinned slyly. "Didn't I just see your office laptop upstairs? Thought you could hide that from me?"
