In the land of miracles, Japan, lives a young magician named Giro Nazushi. He is a kind boy that loves hanging with nature and he also loves reading and learning. He has the power of ****. His mind is very smart, comparable to Einstein and newton, some even say that he is even smarter than them. Giro doesn't understand why his magic is encrypted but he has someone who supports him.
"Uhhh, what even is my magic? I have mana and I have a confirmed magic capacity but the name of my magic is encrypted so how can I know it?"
Giro complains about his magic all the time and he thinks he is just as good as a non-magic user. He has a childhood friend named Hana that always puts up with his stupid rants and always tries to understand him.
Hana and Giro live in a small town in Okinawa. Their families are friends so that is the reason why they knew each other. The pair has an ultimate dream, that is to go to the World Supreme school of Magic in the capital.
One day, Hana visits Giro on their treehouse to talk.
"Hey Giro, look what I just saw. It's a book about magic, let's read it!"
Hana says to Giro enthusiastically
"What for? I don't even have a proper skill on my arsenal, it's just this strange cast called ZERO which buffs me for like 10 minutes"
Giro says to Hana while looking at the book
"Oh Giro, come on, it's fun to read. Plus I get to spend time with you"
Hana says stubbornly to an annoyed Giro
"Plus, my magic is still in it's baby form, it's not yet awakened and I don't wanna awaken it"
Hana adds
"Why? Is it because you will become berserk and attack random civilians?"
Giro says to Hana
"That's right, and that is the reason why I don't want to awaken my magic"
Hana says to Giro
"It's fine, you can always use the baby form of your magic, just 30% of the power that the awakened form gives"
Giro says to Hana reassuringly
"Yeah I know that, idiot, but still I wanna protect someone dear to me, like you"
"Don't worry, I'm always here to protect you..."
One day at their school, a sorcerer attacks. The sorcerer uses it's fire magic to destroy almost the entire school and he kept Hana and a few other girls hostage
He soon grabs Hana to use her as a negotiation device
"Please let me go, I'm begging you"
Hana says to the sorcerer
"No, you're coming with me, I will use you to make myself rich"
The sorcerer said to a scared Hana
Just then, Giro arrives to save Hana but he is too late as the sorcerer flies to a nearby skyscraper and he holds Hana to the edge
"I want 100,000,000¥ in cash, you have 10 minutes or I'll let go and this girl will fall from here!"
The sorcerer shouts on top of the skyscraper. Giro tries to buff himself using ZERO but he is still to weak to climb the building
In a desperation, Giro tries to go inside the building but he is stopped by the police who are waiting for the protectors to arrive
"Please let me in, I can't... I can't leave Hana behind!"
Giro pleads to the police but they remain unmoved and still waiting for the protectors to arrive
"Hana, I'm sorry..."
Giro says crying while looking at Hana on top of the building
"One minute left!"
The sorcerer shouts
"Please, save me, anyone, please, I'm begging you"
Hana cries
"I guess you're it now, little girl, goodbye"
"Wait! You want money, right?!"
Giro shouts to the sorcerer while trembling
"Yes, 100,000,000¥ to be exact!"
"I'll give you everything we have, but it only costs 70,000,000¥, just please let go of my best friend, PLEASE!"
Giro shouts at the top of his lungs and his voice breaks after shouting.
"Too late now, loser, this I already made up my mind, say goodbye to your childhood friend!
"Wait, what do you mean, please my friend said he will give you 70m, please don't do this, please!"
But the sorcerer didn't listen to her not Giro and he lets go of Hana and she started free falling
