"Shave!"
After Rin finished speaking, he vanished in a blur using the Soru technique of the Rokushiki, instantly appearing behind Moria at high speed. His fist was raised, enveloped in Busoshoku Haki, exuding a dense pressure meant to catch Moria off guard.
Moria, however, wasn't slow to react. Sensing the presence behind him, he quickly turned his head. Upon seeing Rin's fist coming straight at him, he smirked with arrogance, certain he could block it without trouble. With a grunt, he raised his own massive fist to meet Rin's head-on but the moment their fists connected, his expression changed drastically.
The power behind Rin's strike had completely exceeded his expectations.
"Ugh!" Moria roared, bracing himself as their fists clashed. He shifted his stance quickly his left foot stepping forward, right foot anchoring behind to stop himself from being thrown off balance.
Rin, seeing Moria reeling back yet still standing, didn't push further. He withdrew the Haki from his fists, easing off the pressure. After all, his intent wasn't to defeat Moria here it was simply to demonstrate the depth of his strength.
"You… you…!"
Moria gasped, still staggered by the force of the blow. His prior assumption that Rin relied entirely on his crew to become a Warlord was shattered in an instant. No one with weak resolve or average strength could carry such overwhelming might. For a moment, Moria's perspective of Rin changed this short but powerful exchange forced him to reassess the man standing before him.
"How about now? Do you still doubt I'm worthy of an alliance?" Rin said casually, brushing off some dust from his cloak as he looked at the stunned Moria.
Moria narrowed his eyes, his tone turning more cautious. "Looks like your strength isn't to be underestimated. Fine… I'll accept the alliance but don't expect me to help with anything suicidal."
His stance was similar to when Dragon had formed a temporary alliance with Rin. Deep down, Moria feared being dragged into battles he couldn't win.
"No problem. You can remain in the Devil's Triangle for now. If I need your aid, someone will contact you." Rin didn't expect Moria to accompany them. After all, two Warlords traveling together would draw far too much attention from both the Marines and the rest of the Shichibukai.
"Fine by me. If something truly important comes up, I'll lend a hand."
Though Moria agreed, inwardly he remained bitter and full of resentment. His thoughts turned dark he was already plotting to one day kill Rin and turn him into a powerful zombie under his control.
Rin, having achieved what he wanted, didn't linger. He turned, gathered Anilu and the others, and returned to their ship. The crew was already preparing to head for the next destination.
Watching them sail away, Moria let out a long breath. The storm had passed for now.
"Lord Moria! I found Lord Absalom's body in the nearby waters!"
A trembling minion ran over. He had just returned from a routine patrol when he spotted Absalom's body floating face-down in the sea. He had immediately hauled it aboard.
"What? Absalom is dead?!" Moria's face twisted in shock. How could one of his top officers, a user of the Suke Suke no Mi, be taken out so easily? If he ever found the culprit, he'd personally tear them limb from limb.
"Just before, Lord Absalom had mentioned seeing a beautiful woman on the Pandora Pirates' ship, and then…"
The minion trailed off, not daring to finish.
"It's you again… Rin Pandora!" Moria clenched his teeth, his voice laced with fury. "Did I owe you a debt from a past life?! Why the hell do I keep ending up beneath your damn feet?!"
Moria was livid. He still didn't know where Rin had come from or how he'd become this strong at such a young age.
"…Fine. Drag Absalom's body away and bury it. He died chasing beauty and got what was coming to him. Lust has its consequences." Moria turned, face dark. Though he said this, inside he made a silent vow someday, he would have his revenge.
Back on Rin's pirate ship, the crew had returned to their usual activities. Rin, meanwhile, focused on deepening his control over his Cosmos-Cosmos Fruit.
"Captain."
Casa walked over, his tone serious.
"What is it?" Rin stopped his training, turning to face him.
"Are you sure Moria is trustworthy? I have a bad feeling about him," Casa muttered. His doubts weren't unfounded. Everything about Moria from his shifting eyes to his condescending tone reeked of duplicity.
Rin wasn't surprised.
"Don't worry. I never trusted him fully. The alliance is just a means to an end," Rin explained calmly. "His zombie army may be unreliable, but it's still a useful force in the right scenario."
Having seen the original One Piece world in his previous life, Rin was fully aware of Moria's cowardice and backhanded tactics. He was a man who relied on trickery and shadows not someone to turn your back on.
"Even the strongest alliances eventually crumble. And with someone like Moria? That's practically guaranteed. Just be cautious, Captain." Casa's instincts told him that Moria would never truly be on their side.
"I know. You're dismissed for now." Rin waved his hand, wanting to return to his cultivation.
Inside the universe within his body a metaphysical space born of the Cosmos Fruit he continued his training. Although he hadn't killed many enemies recently, his control over gravitational force had steadily increased.
Now, around the core planet in his internal cosmos, faint stars small, glowing lights had started to appear. They were sparse and subtle, visible only with close focus, but they marked progress. These emerging celestial bodies were the result of Rin's tireless effort.
He believed that, given time, he would be able to fully contain an entire galaxy if not the whole universe.within his body. And once that happened, not even the Four Emperors or the World Government would be able to stop him.
After several days at sea, the Pandora Pirates gradually approached the next major destination. Along the way, they ambushed several wicked pirate crews, seizing their Beli and supplies.
"Captain, the Sabaody Archipelago is ahead," Casa reported.
"Good. Prepare for landing."
Rin stood tall at the prow, his next adventure already taking shape.
