The bus ride back was more awkward than I was planning. It's hard to know what to say after you kill a girl's father.
"Thank you." She finally says.
"Eh... I- I don't really know what to say... I mean..."
"I know it may sound cruel, but I don't feel sad about his death. Maybe it is because I never had a happy moment with him, but his death felt... necessary. Even if it's not just for me, but for the village."
"Arn't you at least concerned with who will take his place? I mean, you probably could have been the next shogun."
Crossing her arms, she turns away with a pout. "I have nothing to offer to the people who ostracized me." (> ε< )
"Wow, surprisingly cold of you."
She turns to me with a wide grin and a thumbs up. "You taught me how to be selfish, so that's what I'll be. Its my turn to live for myself." ദ്ദി( •̀ ᗜ •́ )
(˘-‿-) "You make me sound like a terrible person."
"If that is the case, you're my terrible person." She nudges up against me with a closed eyed smile.
