"Good Morning, Class 3A. My name is Mr. Heart and I will be your homeroom teacher for the next three years."
At the front of the classroom stood Mr. Heart. He looked like an average sized white man. He had thin and short hair with a receding hairline, and was wearing a light blue shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes and glasses with a slim frame.
"This sheet includes your timetable." He said while handing out the sheets."The timetable will not change until the start of the new year, so It will be active for the next five Months."
'Boring I want to go home, how much time has already passed?'
Alex, who sat in the front row, looked at the back of the classroom. Alex saw that it was 8:05 a.m.. Five Minutes had passed since the first school day began and there were still 40 gruesome Minutes left.
Looking back to the front of the class and looking at Mr. Heart, Alex began to daydream about lying in bed and playing on his phone.
---
"...ex, Alex, Alex!" Called his friend from behind.
"Yeah ..." Alex answered." What's going on?" He looked at his Friend, who had short blond hair and crystal clear blue eyes. He was wearing the school uniform which consisted of a white shirt, dark green pants and a dark green tie.
"The bell rang. We have a 10 minute break, let's go outside, play some Basketball or do something else. I want to breathe some fresh air after Mr. Heart talked for, like, a billion years." Sighing his friend left the classroom.
Standing up Alex followed his Friend "Thomas, wait! I'm coming with you. I didn't notice the Bell."
"Were you even listening while Mr. Heart was talking or did your Brain shut off? … knowing you, you didn't even notice Mr. Heart introducing himself." Thomas said, chuckling at the end.
"I was listening to the Introduction, but I can't bring myself to listen if someone stretches very little information over 50 Minutes." Alex answered trying to defend himself. "And I have you, you are my personal information recorder. Can you please summarise what he said?"
"Sure, Mr. Heart is our homeroom Teacher for the the next three years; He handed out our timetable, the only difference in them for each Student is the secondary language, I picked Spanish ..."
"I have German." Alex said, interrupting Thomas
"You have German. Today is just the introduction for the new school year. Today the school day ends at 11 a.m.. Tomorrow the school continues like it usually would, so we first have English, then Math, Two hours of P.E., Chemistry and History. We still have three years of School left, then you can decide what you want to do: going to work, military or continue your education."
Walking through the corridors Alex opened the door that leads to the schoolyard "Thank You. Ladies first..."
"..."
"What? I am holding the door open for you, like a real gentleman." Alex said, smirking while looking at his blue eyed friend.
"Thank you, you're really kind Mr. Gentleman." said Thomas, punching Alex softly on the shoulder and the walking outside.
"Ouch, that's not the way to thank someone, Mr. Knight." Alex said, punching Thomas back on the shoulder. "Let's go, I want to sit on a bench."
"Sure." Thomas answered in a monotone voice.
Walking through the schoolyard, which was around the school building enclosing it. The two boys saw many students from different classes and grades talking or walking around. The benches were on the other side of the exit.
Walking to an empty bench, both boys sat down. Alex looked more like he was lying and not sitting. On the contrary, Thomas was sitting properly with a straight back, looking really unnatural.
"Why can't we sit together in class? It's really boring not sitting beside you." Alex said, sighing at the end.
Thomas, trying to reassure Alex "I can't do anything about that, we got arranged by surname, yours begins with 'D' and my surname begins with 'K ', but it will probably change in a couple of weeks."
"I want to sit with you now, not next to Emily and with Mr. Heart as our Homeroom Teacher it will be pretty boring, especially when he talks without pausing in between." Alex protested.
*Ding Dang Dong*
Standing up, Thomas said, "We should go inside."
"I don't want to." Alex dragged himself off the bench and followed Thomas.
Walking inside the building, with all the other students, the two boys walked to their classroom.
---
*Ding Dang Dong*
Looking at the clock, it was 10:50 a.m. the third period ended.
"Thank you for listening. I see you tomorrow, when we have English in the first period, have a nice day." smiling Mr. Heart left the classroom.
'Finally! Going home and just lazing around.' Alwx thought, a little grin showing on his face.
Standing up, he walked to Thomas, now grinning from ear to ear.
"Hello, sunshine. What's got you so Happy?" Thomas asked, even though he knew the answer.
"Isn't that obvious? School for today is finished, so I can laze around and play video games." Alex explained to his friend.
"Let's go buy ice cream, before you go home and begin to mold." Thomas stood up and walked next to Alex
"Only if you're paying for me." Alex demanded, grabbing Thomas bye the shoulder.
"No Problem. Charity is a virtue, my poor friend." He said, patting Alex on his shoulder and walking outside
"Thank you, you good Samaritan." Alex clapped his hands together and following Thomas.
---
"Why is the line so long?" Alex asked with an unamused expression, looking at the long line which began in the store and continued outside.
"It's hot and many people want to cool down, ice cream is a perfect dessert." Thomas answered in a monotone voice.
"I know that, but it's 11:20 a.m.. How could it be so full?" Alex asked, looking at his friend.
'I want to go home… and it's too hot.' Alex thought, sighing out loud.
"Do you want to go home?" Thomas asked, raising one eyebrow
Turning his head to his friend, Alex looked at Thomas with a shocked expression.
"Can you read minds, is it something A+ students learn while studying for school in the holidays?"
"Pfft, no." Thomas laughed "Your face is like an open book, for me. I have known you since we were three, I can tell what you think."
'Does my face really show what I think?' Alex thought, trying to reassure himself that his friend just guessed his right.
"Yeah, your face shows your thoughts" Thomas answered. "Let's go stand in line."
---
"Two scoops of chocolate in a cone, please." Alex ordered
Taking a cone, the clerk scooped up chocolate and handed the ice cream to Alex." That will be three Dollars."
'Three dollars! Last Time it was 2,50 dollars.'
Alex gave the clerk a five dollar bill.
"Thank you, here are two dollars, have a nice day." The clerk smiled while giving the money back
Alex walked outside next to him the never ending line of people, including many students, waiting to get ice cream.
Outside was Thomas who had strawberry ice cream. Alex walked to him and stood next to him. Both boys licking their ice cream I silence.
After Finishing their ice cream, both boys walked to a nearby park.
"I can't believe school is already starting again, it feels like the Holidays just began yesterday."
Alex said out loud, breaking the silence.
"Really? I think the holidays were long enough."
"Yeah yeah, Mr. 'I Love School' thinks it's great that school started again"
While walking through the park, they both enjoyed the scenery: many trees with beautiful green leaves, colorful flowers and children running and playing around.
Thomas suddenly stopped, staying still with closed eyes. Turning around, Alex looked at his friend.
"Is someth…"
"Can you shut up for a second? I am trying to listen to something."
Thomas stood still for several seconds. He turned around and began to speed-walk.
"Hey, where are you going? Wait!" Alex called out, beginning to follow his friend, also speed-walking.
After following his blue eyed friend, Alex suddenly heard some boys.
"You crybaby, we don't want to play with you!"
"Yeah, you stink and have weird eyes!"
Finally, behind several trees two first graders were mocking another child.
'How did Thomas hear them, is he a bat?' Alex thought, wondering how his friend had heard the children
"Hey Alex, can you talk to them?" Thomas asked his black haired friend while whispering.
"What? why?"
"You look scarier than me and I don't want that children talk around that I am a bad person."
"… Are you serious?" Alex asked with a deadpanned expression
Looking at Thomas Alex sighed. He walked towards the children Alex spoke with a loud voice.
"Hey, leave the child alone!"
Hearing his voice, the first grader began to run away.
'It was easier than expected.'
"Hey are you alright?" Thomas asked the little child as he came closer.
Taking a closer look at the child, Alex noticed that the child had heterochromia, two different colored eyes.
"Th.. Thank you…*sniff *" the child replied to Thomas, crying a little.
"No problem. My name is Thomas this is Alex. May I know your name?"
"M–my Name i–is Richard."
"Richard what a cool name, do you live nearby?"
Nodding Richard took Thomas's hand and walked him to his house. After 15 minutes they arrived.
"Thank you." Richard said, bowing slightly down
"Again, it's no problem. If you ever need help and you see us just call out. My friend might not look nice, but he has a big heart, goodbye"
"Bye bye." Richard said with a big smile waving his hand.
After the little child went inside, Alex spoke up.
"How do I not look nice?"
"Your dark eyes, dark hair and your slight scowl make you look not so trustworthy."
"If Mr. Trustworthy says so."
After chatting for a while, the two boys went their separate ways.
---
Arriving home, Alex took a shower. After showering he took a look at himself, black hair that reaches his earlobes, dark eyes with big eyebags.
"Do I really look so untrustworthy?"
After finishing his inspection, he went to watch a new airing show, 'Lord of Secrets'. Before watching he made himself instant ramen.
At 10 pm he went to bed and fell asleep.
---
*beep beep beep beep*
Opening his eyes, Alex saw a blue screen. On the surface he could read:
[Welcome]
