I was just trying to have a damn bite of breakfast after picking my deadly weapon. A quiet moment one bite of toast, some eggs, peace, you know? But of course, that didn't last.
The door slammed open like it owed her money, and Jisoo stormed in like a hurricane dressed in panic.
"Don't tell me..don't you dare tell me!" she shrieked, her voice high and shaky. "Why am I seeing Han's name on the news? What's happening on the TV? Where is he?!"
She was scanning the room like a siren on a manhunt. Her eyes locked on me, and before I could even form a sentence SMACK.
Her palm landed hard across my cheek.
"Where is Han?!" she cried again, her voice cracking. "Where is my brother?!"
I barely had time to touch my face before Han appeared like a damn ghost from behind the kitchen counter.
"Jisoo," he said, stepping toward her, "he's sick. Your brother's in the hospital. But he's alive."
