Han's POV
We were on our way.
The whole ride, I didn't say a word. Just stared out the window, watching the city blur past while my hands stayed clenched in fists on my lap. I'd already sent word to my men. They arrived in different vehicles, blending into traffic, surrounding the perimeter from different angles. Guns loaded. No noise. No mistakes.
Tyler was in there somewhere. Beaten. Maybe worse.
And he ...Wayne was too calm about all this. Too easy to find. Either he was getting cocky... or he wanted us to come.
Which is why this had to be surgical.
Alex was with them. I saw him in one of the surveillance clips before we left—standing behind Wayne like a shadow. A loyal one. My throat tightened. He was my friend once. He knew what Tyler meant to me. He knew why I kept my ship. Why I kept my secrets.
If he used that against me…
If he stood on the wrong side of that room
No. Not yet. I needed to see him with my own eyes before I decided what kind of betrayal this was.
