"Aphra," Anselm said gently as he raised his hand to the portal, tears flowing from his cheek.
"She is a new person now, she has no memories of who you are or her child."
My gaze went to the entrance as the young woman I saw with Aurelius when they arrived rushed in. She looked up at the portal and smiled joyfully.
"Is that....is that mother?" She screamed as she fixed her gaze on the woman.
"You must be her daughter, Aleena."
She nodded happily. "Yes, I am."
"She'd pray every day for you. Although she has no memory of either of you, she knew she left something precious behind and prayed constantly. You're blessed to have a mother like her," I said. She shook her head joyfully.
"Seraphina must be stuck in that body," Lorien called out, and I turned my head to him.
"The Alpha of Duskbane, your mate, is fine in her body. You have been doing well in the kingdom, don't change your ways like Anselm here." I replied, and he nodded his head.
