Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Bibi Dong: I Knew It

At this moment, Guang Ling had already been respectfully welcomed into the rest area of Skywater Academy. The interior decor followed a clean and elegant design, with white as the primary color and light blue as an accent.

Inside the room, Guang Ling sat comfortably on a sofa. Shui Qingxin poured him a cup of tea and respectfully took a seat across from him.

"Your Grace Glowing Feather…"

"Just call me 'Senior,' that's enough."

"Senior Glowing Feather, this is the finest tea we have at Skywater Academy. Please give it a try."

Guang Ling gave a small nod, picked up the cup, and brought it close to his nose. A gentle fragrance of tea leaves wafted into the air. He took a small sip—the bitterness was quickly followed by a lasting, sweet aftertaste. The tea flowed down like silk, smooth and delicate.

"Excellent tea."

Setting the cup down, Guang Ling looked toward the group of somewhat nervous and curious students standing nearby.

"No need to be tense. Take a seat. I'll share some of my insights on combat and cultivation—especially how to use less soul power to unleash more powerful soul skills. You'll be putting it into practice tomorrow, so listen carefully."

"Yes, Senior Glowing Feather!"

All the girls nodded excitedly. This was a Titled Douluo personally teaching them—what he was offering were practical insights rarely shared by others. They absolutely had to seize this opportunity.

Even Shui Qingxin listened like a model student, fully attentive and gaining a great deal.

Just as Guang Ling was explaining enthusiastically, he suddenly paused, sensing a familiar aura.

"Those two brats again…"

Guang Ling frowned inwardly. How did they manage to find me here?

No way. He couldn't let them ruin his plan.

"Senior, is something wrong?"

Shui Qingxin was fully engrossed in his lecture when he suddenly stopped. Noticing the shift in his expression, she asked in confusion.

Guang Ling quickly composed himself and shook his head. Standing up, he said, "Nothing. I just remembered something. Stay here and don't go anywhere. I'll be right back."

"Okay—"

Before she could finish, Guang Ling's figure vanished from sight.

"This should be the place…"

Gu Han and Bibi Dong stood in front of a plaque that read "Skywater Pavilion" in elegant, flowing calligraphy—graceful yet bold, clearly the work of a master.

A youthful, somewhat childlike voice suddenly piped up behind them. "Hey, you two! Shouldn't you be off flirting somewhere? What are you doing here?"

No need to guess who it was.

Turning around, they saw Guang Ling standing before them, arms crossed.

Bibi Dong nudged Gu Han with her elbow and grinned smugly. "Hehe, see? I was right—Senior Guang Ling had to be here."

"Yeah."

Gu Han chuckled, just about to say something when Guang Ling suddenly grabbed them both and dragged them into a nearby alley.

"Hey! What's the big idea?"

"I'm in the middle of something important. Don't mess it up!" Guang Ling huffed.

"What important thing?"

Both of them looked at him with puzzled faces.

"Hmph. The Pope's been trying forever to get the Four Elemental Academies under Spirit Hall's control, but all his efforts have failed. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm infiltrating Skywater Academy as their honorary advisor. Next step: sneak into Element City itself. You get what I'm saying… right?"

Guang Ling's eyes sparkled with mischief and ambition.

Gu Han and Bibi Dong stared at him in disbelief, eyes twitching. After a long silence, Gu Han finally asked,

"Senior Guang Ling… are you sure that'll actually work?"

"Yeah, what if they end up taking advantage of you instead?"

Bibi Dong echoed the doubt. The way Guang Ling usually behaved—like an overgrown child—made it hard to believe he could pull something like this off. They'd be lucky if he didn't get sweet-talked or seduced into giving everything away.

Guang Ling shot them a look of disdain. "You two seriously underestimate me. I may be youthful at heart, but I'm no fool. You think I became a Titled Douluo by being an idiot?"

"Er… Sorry, that's not what we meant."

The two exchanged an awkward glance and gave sheepish smiles.

"Actually," Gu Han said, "my senior sister and I are here because we have something important to discuss with you."

"Oh? What's the matter?"

Guang Ling didn't pursue the insult further and instead focused on the topic at hand.

Gu Han looked around cautiously.

Guang Ling immediately understood. With a flick of his hand, he erected a soul power barrier to isolate their conversation.

"Alright, go ahead."

"Got it."

Gu Han nodded and began to explain everything that had happened, detailing the planned coup and how it would benefit Spirit Hall.

"Interesting. When's it happening?"

Guang Ling's lips curved into a delighted smile. Clearly, he was intrigued by the idea of a palace coup—and he wasn't against it.

What's more, with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan participating, Spirit Hall stood to gain an additional advantage: a deeper, unspoken alliance.

If both sides were involved in such a covert operation, they'd have mutual leverage over each other, increasing trust and discouraging betrayal.

Guang Ling understood this well. He was certain Ning Fengzhi thought the same way.

"The day after tomorrow. The meeting will take place at the Qibao Pavilion in Heaven Dou City. That's when everything will be finalized. We'll need you there, Senior Guang Ling."

"Understood. You two head back. I've still got things to take care of here."

Guang Ling nodded, clearly having memorized the plan, and began shooing them away.

"Well then, Senior Guang Ling, best of luck with your mission."

"Yeah, yeah, get going already. You two are way too chatty."

Waving them off, Guang Ling urged the pair to leave quickly.

Gu Han and Bibi Dong didn't linger, turning to walk away.

Once they were gone, Guang Ling let out a breath of relief, committed the plan to memory, and returned to the room where Shui Qingxin and the others were waiting.

"Senior, you're back."

"Mm. Just went back to my hotel to grab a few things. Now, everyone sit down—I'll continue the lecture."

With a casual excuse, Guang Ling deflected their questions and refocused the students' attention on his insights into cultivation.

What Guang Ling taught was incredibly useful, especially for the Skywater Academy students, most of whom possessed water or ice-based spirits. Many of his techniques were universally applicable—they didn't require the same type of martial soul to understand or benefit from.

He spoke of soul power, battle techniques, how to better resonate with one's martial soul, and how to gain deeper understanding of it—topics rarely explained clearly, let alone shared freely.

Guang Ling wasn't stingy with his knowledge, though he didn't go too deep either—there was only so much these young minds could absorb at once.
