AT THE SAME TIME
ISABELLA'S POINT OF VIEW:
I flicked open the clasp, and the pages fluttered slightly as if inhaling for the first time in years. It seems we did found some serious information there.
Michael leaned over my shoulder.
"Is it a player journal?"He asked.
I nodded, scanning the first page. The handwriting was neat, flowing elegantly across the paper.
"Day 45 – Riftlands detour: We weren't supposed to be here. The System glitched at least, that's what we think. I've never seen anything like this. Trees that glow, roots that whisper, shadows that move. The others are losing hope, but we have to keep going. I can still feel it—the Relic is close.
Day 49 – Shadows watching: Nia is gone. She was right behind me, and then...nothing. We called for her, searched for hours. The whispers are louder now. They say our names. They know we're here.
