Lilith chuckled softly.
Quiet, but piercing.
"You're all too noisy," she murmured.
In front of her, five black spheres floated—
spinning slowly like lonely planets that had lost their orbit.
With a single snap of her fingers,
the five orbs merged—
fusing into the shape of a scythe.
Its form was thin,
as if forged from thick smoke and nightmares.
Lilith caressed the sharp edge of the scythe.
"It's been a while since I used this…"
she whispered, almost like she was singing.
Nathan gulped.
His hand still instinctively covered his crotch,
even though by now, everyone knew—
no one wanted to touch it anymore.
