Eriq just smiled as Jaden recognized him. First, he wasn't sure how that would affect his intentions. Second, Jaden's memory was sharp—too sharp. Would he be easy to fool?
Eriq's palms began to sweat as he nodded in response, and Jaden continued, only proving how strong his memory truly was.
"You're Eriq. How do you do?" Jaden asked with a polite smile.
"The last time I saw you was with my crazy cute friend, and then poof, you vanished. What even happened that day?" he added, curiosity lacing his tone.
Eriq replied softly, "I'm not sure it's a good idea to talk about all that here. I mean, I heard everything you were saying earlier because you weren't being cautious… and I don't want that to happen to me too."
"Oh… then let's go somewhere secluded," Jaden suggested, his tone dropping slightly. Eriq nodded in agreement.
Jaden gathered his belongings, and led by Eriq, they walked out of the lecture theater and headed to the music room.
