Eliana tried to smile through the pain.
The office was buzzing—Spring Collection season always was. Fabric swatches, digital boards, models coming in and out for test fittings. Luca had gone full genius-mode again, sketching like a man possessed, spinning out ideas faster than the team could keep up.
And Eliana? She was just trying to function.
"Where's the sample for Look 14?" Luca called across the studio without looking up from his sketchpad.
"In the side room. Buttons still need finishing," Eliana replied automatically.
"Did Pamela approve the embroidery colors?"
"Yes, but she's suggesting softer gold threads for the evening dresses."
"Tell her I said she's wrong, but I love her."
Eliana scribbled the note on her tablet and moved on. Smile. Breathe. Keep moving.
Then a delivery guy appeared at her desk.
"Uh—delivery for Miss Alvarez?"
She blinked.
