"I want you to lead this meeting," Dante muttered, hands in his pockets, voice as smooth and sharp as a blade.
Her brow arched in disbelief. She had thought Dante would make her do something else but leading the meeting? Wouldn't that be too much . She had actually led one once at the Laurent Corp but that was because she needed to save her company.
"This is a very important meeting," she reminded him, her voice steady, "If anything goes wrong, the Anstornes could gain their company and I wouldn't be able to make them pay for what they did ."
Dante leaned against the doorframe, his gaze intense and unflinching. "Yeah," he said, coolly, "that's exactly why I'm asking you to lead."
Anastasia sat slowly, her arms folding across her chest. "But I don't have enough experience to handle a press conference or a board meeting at this level, and you know this deal is critical."
