But the Predator managed not to show it on his face.


He stood perfectly still despite the thick scent of blood hanging in the air. His other hand slowly slipped through his robe as he reached out for the axe slung across his waist.


He then cautiously turned his head, to look behind him and his eyes met Lusius's.


Lucius stood barely a foot behind him. His white shirt was totally red with blood, not his own blood, but the blood of the twenty or so men he had butchered just now. 


His hair was tousled, eyes glowing faintly under the flickering emergency lights. There was no fear on his face.


And seeing that, a chill ran down the Predator's spine. And it was not just from fear. But something deeper. Something more… primitive. He was no longer the top dog here. Someone else has taken his place.
