Out of despair and disheartening of her will, she gracefully left.     Away from everything she was determined to have a life distant from the troubles. However trouble finds her even if she stays out of it. With a much broader state of mind, she wants to see if she can make things right. That those she cherishes will stay with her as they did before.     With nothing much to lose, she set herself in the middle of a storm. Whether she can withstand the blow this time around or not, she will know in due time. And when the opportunity arrives, she will extract her wrath smoldering from the inferno burning inside of her.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: Soberness

Viola was sad. A childish way to describe her emotional state, but it was the simplest way she can express her feelings. Too complex words will not accurately let her showcase or even manifest the downing heart inside of her.

She had a warm family. A bunch of people who were not necessarily related to her by blood, but they were family nevertheless. Whenever they were, it was home. And there was nothing more she could ask for.

However life was cruel in ways people do not expect. One little flap of a butterfly and she lost everything. Her family, home, and identify she tied to her people...all gone with the wind.

At first she cannot accept it. She wanted to rage, storm, and rampage. But she could hear her people's voices. They are telling her to live. To survive all odds as she had once done.

So with pure stubbornness, she somehow lived. Though not gloriously as she once was. Never would she be the same.

(—glory is with the—).

So when she was banished to an abandoned planet in the guise of enriching her independence, she accepted her fate with both hands. She knew people were mocking her, leering at her sorry figure and relishing her indefinite banishment. Though she can feel some kind gazes, she simply does not care.

 (—not hers and never will—)

She needed no sympathy or contempt. She wanted to leave for so long. This is her relief. That finally she does not need to be tormenting from memories of her good days.

So without hesitation, she boarded her ship. Carrying only an amount of money she rightly owned. This is her capital, her foundation to a new life free from everything that hurts her.

She did not bring anyone with her. No farewell party, no good bye, there is no loved one to wish her well. The only one who held her respect and recognition long gone, there is simply nothing that binds her. Alone she will crave her way in the barren land she was given.

The journey to her planet was boring yet somehow meditative. She finally can think, can plan, and no longer be distracted of things that were not hers anymore.

Viola lived once before this life. In there she was a beloved family head, leading her family to prosperity and stability. Only dying by a rival family who cannot stand their good development. Her family mourned and held her soul hostage with worry. Only when they started to get back in their feet did she finally leave and lay rest.

But it seems that she herself cannot let go of her people. Once again she woke up. Same identify, same destiny. Only this time something was inserted. A variable who had destroyed her chances to find, to bond, and to meet her beloved family.

She resents fate for letting her live then depriving her of what she calls hers. No wealth, power, or influence can replace or mend her longing she held for her family. She struggled to reach out to them. And no matter how much she reached her hands, it was no use. Every single time she was sinking deeper in the abyss of negativity inside her heart.

So as early as she understood it was useless, she stopped trying. That throne is meaningless to her. Let the usurper take it, have them carry the burden which they never understood entails. In the deepest corner of her mind, she wanted to see them crumble as the mountain it stands on collapses.

Idly she wanted to know how long it will hold on without her this time around. More than being the leader, being the head of the family means adhering to pacts made to the Monarch, to the allies, and to the whole empire itself. Failure to uphold one's oath means one shaky step in a tightrope to damnation.

(— The Vultures will strike and the Hyenas will take a greedy bite. They had long waited for an opportunity. Even if the crown will cry and lament nothing will be left after a mistake is made—)

One thing is sure in this life. She will not lend a helping hand. Let her ancestors be disappointed in her. She had long conveyed her stance years ago.

Seeing her planet, a small earth-like world with 2 moons, she let herself smile a little. There was irony in her mirth. She never bothered to check what her planet was. Who knows the idiot was senseless enough to give it to her. Though thinking about it, it is not surprising that the idiot could easily let go of the planet.

Planet Monti is not developed and can be considered an abandoned planet with little to none in terms of value in the interstellar era. It does not have any special ores nor does it house any specialty worthy of heavy investment. It can be considered an agricultural planet if developed. But due to a great movement in terms of nutrients solutions and lessening the need for natural food, agriculture was not maintained for a long time and the planet had wasted away.

In the face of the rapid changes of trends, no one could remember that this was the very birth place of the family's glory. This was the very place that established her foothold on the interstellar scene. The very planet who gave their gifts and boons.

As one of the many planets under their family's jurisdiction, it was simply devoid of people. As of a millennia there were no people on this planet having to move manpower to other places that needed more attention and developed. Most things on this planet was untouchable for many centuries now. Most buildings or human touch should have been claimed back by the planet and thrived with new landscapes and species.

Viola did not know initially. However this planet was always in the back of her mind. The previous family head had jokingly told her that rightful heirs and heads are more or less attached or attracted to this planet. That this place is the unforgettable first love of theirs.

He said that this love of theirs was so much that the defenses on this planet are always top-notch and up-to-date with the best technology not harmful to the planet. Everything was paid exclusively from the head or heir's own pocket once it came to their vision. This kept the family dark of the significance of this planet to their family.

Despite the adoration each family head and heir has for the planet, they never personally step into the planet. Burdened by the responsibility of running the family, they never had the opportunity to even go to its vicinity. The defenses they bought were installed and delivered by robots and they could only see what was inside of the planet though the brief surveillance in the robots' lenses.

With amusement the old head said that this planet is their dream. That it was their holy grail that will finally give them peace and quiet. Every generation heads and heirs more or less tried to settle there. But one way or another for centuries to millennia none of the heirs and heads were able to even get into its vicinity, most of them dying before retirement or just simply too weak to be able to make a trip to the planet when they did reach retirement.

Later before the old head died, he told her of their roots. That everything was given by this planet. However they committed a sin, forgo a promise, destroyed a good faith and their family was never able to get back there ever since. At the same time she was told that someday the planet will claim one of their family to mend what was broken and earn the forgiveness from their trespasses all those years.

(—"if you can go there, please apologize to the land for our trespasses. We are grateful for the grace given. Though the past generations had been ignorant and blind, I hope someone from our descent could at least give our belated gratitude." Smiling blue eyes said as they told her each story they had dug up from the family archives.)

"I didn't expect that I would be the first one for so long. Maybe I should be a little grateful to get this planet solely for myself, who knows what I'll do if the idiot somehow sells this place to an outsider later on." Viola said as her ship was announcing its landing protocols and instructions for those aboard to be mind of. Remembering the longing of the old head and how he had tried all his life to come here. "Would it be considered that I fulfilled the regrets of my predecessors?"

Chuckling to herself, she shook herself knowing that no one would answer her nonsense. Taking one more look on the closing planet, she closed her eyes for a moment before going to the control room. Her eyes are now burning with fiery determination that hasn't been on her for years in that hell.

At this time, there is no need for amusement. She has a life to build. And on that soil is where she will take root. And this time nothing could uproot her from what is rightfully hers. If it meant earning forgiveness of an ancient promise, she will do it.
