Orion didn't reply. Still calmly walking forward.
He flung out his wand. "[Gale Lance]!"
A spinning spear of wind spiraled toward Orion's chest.
In that moment, Orion's body bent backward like a spear, letting the attack skim past his face with barely an inch of movement. And in that moment, it felt as if time froze across the entire arena.
A spinning spear of compressed wind had come within a hair's breadth of piercing his chest, but he swayed—no, flowed—out of its path with the reflexes of a predator who had already seen it coming. His black hair blew back from the sheer force of the spell brushing past his face.
Gasps erupted all around the crowd.
"He didn't block it—he just dodged it?!"
"That was a Tier 1 spell… how the hell did he move like that when he hasn't even enhanced himself with any spell?"
Aeron's smirk faded, replaced by a deep frown. His fingers tightened around his wand as he cast another spell and then shouted, "Tch! [Wind Spikes]—Double Cast!"
