Ain Year 378

The Capital City of Eldorion Empire, Eldora is bursting with evening activities, vendors selling their exotic goods to customers, the cobblestone roads were filled with horse-driven Carts and pedestrians, while the market place is bursting with comerce activities.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Palace, built by the First Emperor, is decorated to the brim, as if a holy ceremony was taking place. The Palace is filled with guards and panicking maids, as a large number of aristocrats had gathered together for an auspicious day, the declaration of their next Emperor.

At this moment, inside the core region of the Imperial Palace, a grand meeting between the top factions of the empire was held in an estate so long and wide that even a thousand people could be housed at once like a large village.

This was none other than the residence of the Imperial family. Two figures commanded particular attention—Duke Karl Van Raul, patriarch of the esteemed Raul family and Prime Minister of Eldorion, and Archduke Louie Van Aquila, a shrewd and ambitious elder, as well as the father-in-law of the late Crown Prince.

In a moment filled with subtle tension, Duke Raul remarked, concealing his true feelings beneath a veneer of concern, "It is nice to see you in fine fettle, Archduke Aquila. I trust you did not encounter too many 'inconveniences' along your journey?"

With a light, mocking laugh, Archduke Aquila replied, "Thank you for your concern, Duke Raul. Indeed, I faced a few minor inconveniences, but my soldiers swiftly dispatched them. The plotters behind this attack had a screw loose—a poorly executed plan, I must say."

Karl narrowed his eyes, as he sharply glanced at the old man in front of him. While keeping a stoic face, internally he was fumming. The resources he had poured into this plan has failed, a tactical defeat for his faction.

Before the tension could escalate further, all eyes turned to the entrance as the young emperor's mother made her grand entrance. A vision of beauty, with blonde hair, ruby lips, and striking emerald eyes, she was followed by an entourage of devoted maids and eunuchs. As she gracefully advanced, every gaze in the hall naturally fell upon her. Reaching the imperial throne—a golden cradle specially prepared for this moment—she gently placed her little son inside it.

The assembled aristocrat glanced at the toddler. Various emotions ranged in their eyes, greed being the prominent one. They knew what this enthronement ceremony means, rise of aristocrat's rule. Their superior being an infant, nobles have nothing to fear.

On the other hand, the child in question was wide awake, curiously glancing around the strangers gathered around.

Swoosh*

The Priest wearing regal clothing entered the Hall. With haughty behavior, he walked towards the toddler. Lifting the child in his hands, the priest announced out loud, enough to echo his voice across the hall.

"With the Almighty God himself as a witness, I hereby declare Arthur Von Ignivar as the New 7th Emperor of Eldorion Empire! All hail the Emperor!!"

"All hail the Emperor!"

"All hail the Emperor!"

Later that day, an exhausted Arthur succumbed to slumber. His mother Alice Von Ignivar, left him in the cradle under the watchful care of a young maid, barely 11.

"Take care of him." She ordered, and in haste departed for a 'late-night appointment'.

Left alone with the maid, Arthur suddenly awakens. Glancing out upon the balcony, at the two unique Moons, a dormant, but formidable energy converged upon the cradle.

"Is that... Mana?" the Maid muttered unsure of what she was witnessing.

Beneath the dark sky, filled with stars, the young Emperor awakened his magic powers, something unheard of for toddlers.

"Such potent mana.." the Maid said, hesitant to decide on her future actions. Should she reveal it, or not? Or seal his mana for the time being? Before she could decide, her own mana started reacting to the infants, soothing her indecisive and panic heart.

She thought back to her last conversation with her father, before becoming Young Emperor's Caretaker.

'I am so sorry Luna, that you would have to go.' A middle-aged man said to her.

'I know, it was a big decision, especially one where I haven't even asked for your opinion.' He said, eyes full of guilt.

'Its okay Dad.' the girl replied with a warm smile. 'Promises are meant to be fulfilled, isn't it what mum always told me about.' she replied, with a nostalgic but determined gaze.

Hearing her, the father's gaze softens, reminiscing of the old days.

Suddenly he pulled out a Silver colored card and gave it to her. 'Use it wisely. An old friend had gifted me. It can completely hide mana from the wearer's body.'

Presently, the dilemma consumed the maid, until she finally decided on her next course of action.

'I know what I have to do' Maid thought with a determined expression.

She released the silver seal, her father had given, and used it to hide the young Emperor's mana, to prevent the tragedy that might have fallen upon him. In doing so, now she would have to attract the attention of others to herself, as the talented magician. That way the factions fighting for supremacy of the Imperial Court will turn their attention on her instead.

"No matter what, I will protect you." She said, with eyes full of affection and determination.

That day changed history, as the Young Emperor would gain his first and most loyal retainer.

Four Years Later, Ain Year 382.

In the lush gardens of the Imperial Palace, filled with exotic plants, trees, and wildlife, a young, blonde child with captivating celestial blue eyes can be seen playing around. The birds and rodents gathered around him, as if his presence alone is as warm as sun itself. With a daze look, he glanced at the blue sky, thinking about how wonderful it is to stay among the wild, rather than the suffocating Imperial Palace.

*Creak

The noise of a stick snapping brought the lad out of his daze. Looking back, a beautiful brown-haired woman, about 16 years old, was looking at him, amusement in his eyes.

"Now enough of the daydreaming, it's time for classes." She said in a stern voice.

"No!" Replied the boy, before running off in the opposite direction.

"Oh Confident are we?" The woman said in a mischievous tone.

*Snap

With a snap of a finger, mana twirled around her hand.

*Swoosh

Infusing Wind nature she casted a chant-less spell and used the winds twirling around her hand to levitate the mischievous lad and brought him near her.

"So Cool! I wanna learn it too!" the boy exclaimed, stars twinkling in his celestial blue eyes.

"You need to be a magician for it to work." The woman giggled. "Now let's go back, your teacher is waiting for you." She said sternly.

*sigh

With a sigh, the lad went along with his caretaker. Gazing at the large palace, a complicated look appeared in his eyes, a maturity that shouldn't exist in a four-year-old's eyes

The Child is none other than Arthur Von Ignivar, the 7th Emperor of The Eldorion Empire.
