Chapter 13 - Justice

POV: Leo

His gaze became clearer. He needed some time to process everything that had just happened. The information he had received from his mother in his comatose state and the sudden, strange behavior of General Wollfseif completely overwhelmed him at first.

He stared at four other people in the room, but didn't say a word at first. "My king, I would like to report back." Leo blinked and just nodded.

"I understand, my lord. I don't know what you already know, but our young prince was kidnapped and held captive by the Fahras. However, we were able to free him, and the other chiefs are currently taking care of the rest. They have arrested and imprisoned the traitors. They are just waiting for your judgment."

Leo's head processed the whole thing for the moment. When he understood what was going on, he tore the equipment from his body and struggled out of his bed and sat on the edge of the mattress.

"Oliver!" Leo's voice was raspy and hard to understand, but Oliver jumped off Christopher's arm and ran to Leo, hugging his legs. "Dad!" Oliver started sobbing and crying. Leo picked Oliver up, sat him on his lap and hugged him tightly, stroking his hair.

After Oliver had calmed down a little, he whispered in Leo's ear: "Christopher knows everything now." Leo's eyes widened. - What? And yet he's still standing here? - Leo's eyes wandered to Christopher, who only looked back with concern.

"I still can't quite get my head around it, Father, please explain yourself," Christopher said soberly. "To be honest, I don't anymore either..." Jasper added "...but it's good to see you're awake again and apparently healthy and in good spirits. You were badly injured and comatose until just now. And now you look like you're in your berserk state, only conscious, I really can't get through it anymore."

"Old castle...," Leo muttered randomly quietly. His thoughts were still out off order. General Wollseif looked up at him. "Do you want to go to your castle?" Leo nodded and stood up with Oliver in his arms. He was still a little unsteady on his feet and fell back onto the edge of the bed.

"Please rest a little longer. I'll explain everything to my son and please, call me Florian." Leo just nodded again.

"The person you see here in front of you is our dear king, the lord of all dragons. We all thought that the royal family had died out, but it seems that the yellow dragons have been playing tricks on us again. They kept it a secret from everyone else that the royal family, at least what was left of it, still had living members until the king's mother managed to escape from the Fahras' claws and seek help from the green dragons. They fell in love and had a child, who is our current king. Unfortunately, the Fahras found them again, killed the king's father and to protect her son, the king's mother sealed her son's royal powers against her own life. Apparently, however, there was a partial release of the seal and that is the apparition you are seeing."

A brief silence. Jasper pounded his fist on his palm. "Ah, then it all makes sense now. That's why the Fahras were so obsessed with Leo, they wanted the power of the royal family for themselves, just like in the old legend."

"Correct. But his power is still partially sealed and, as a result, his powers are not yet fully developed."

Leo cleared his throat. All eyes turned to him. "If I want to protect my loved ones, I have to go to the old castle, that should break the remaining seal."

Christopher raised an eyebrow. "Is that what you really want? If you release the seal completely, then your life will change completely. You'll be responsible for everything, and not just your life, but the whole world will change."

Leo sighed and set Oliver down on the floor. "Go to your father." Oliver plodded over to Christopher. "I would do anything to protect Oliver and prevent anything from happening again. And...," Leo turned slightly red in the face. "...also to protect you, my partner." Christopher blushed slightly himself and couldn't get a word out at first.

"All right, if you say so." His gaze drifted to the side, avoiding eye contact with Leo. Leo smiled - he knew that Christopher couldn't say no with these arguments -

"I'll gladly take the weight of the whole world on my shoulders. That's how it goes when you're king. I can't avoid it, after all, I was born for it, wasn't I, Florian?"

"That is correct, my lord. The fact alone that our king is alive takes a big impact." Leo smiled gently. "Very well, I don't want to wait unnecessarily long to release the seal. Until I have 100 percent authority, we will probably continue to have problems with the Fahras, since no one else has the authority to execute a dragon family or a member of it except the king." Leo sighed.

"And who knows what they're planning again." Leo became incredibly angry just thinking about what they might have done to Oliver in the time they had him. He didn't even know that they had even beaten Oliver until now.

"But Leo, please get yourself checked out first, or should I call you my king now?" Jasper joked. "Of course and only just like that," Leo laughed lightly.

Florian, Jasper and Oliver made room for the doctors and left the room, leaving only Christopher in the room. Leo instinctively held his abdomen most of the time. He just knew from the feeling that the twins were alright. Christopher came closer and sat down on a chair next to the bed. His hand carefully moved to Leo's abdomen.

"You know everything now, don't you?" Leo asked, a little dejected. "Yes." "I'm sorry I never told you anything." "Mhm. I can understand, at least a little. With what I've been through in such a short time, it's fucking understandable. I'm fucking angry. Not because you didn't tell me, but because of the reason you couldn't and I couldn't help. I'd love to kill the Fahras myself."

Leo smiled gently and took Christopher's hand, placing it on his abdomen under his smock. "You can't do that, who's going to look after our children if you put yourself in danger and I sit on the throne, doing boring business stuff day in, day out and finding no time for anything..."

Christopher leaned forward. "May I?" He indicated to Leo that he would like to lay his head on Leo's stomach. Leo nodded and Christopher put his ear on Leo's stomach. A few tears ran down his cheek.

"Are you all right?" Leo asked in surprise. "Yeah, I'm just so fucking happy right now. I never thought I'd ever have children with someone I love. I've come to terms with you being an Alpha and Oliver being the child with another woman or man, but now, with the truth, it's a dream come true for me and I'm going to guard you guys like the apple of my eye. I'm going to make up for what I missed with Oliver with these two." Leo stroked Christopher's hair.

"If you stop swearing all the time," he laughed. "That's not child-friendly." A clearing of the throat interrupted their meeting. "I'd still like to examine you now. It's nothing short of a miracle that you woke up in this condition."

Christopher moved away from Leo again and made room for the examination. The examination confirmed that both Leo and the children in his womb were in excellent condition and he was even allowed to be discharged immediately after everything necessary had been completed.

Leo was asked if he could serve as a case study for the doctors, but he declined, after all he didn't want any more attention than he was about to get, and as the soon-to-be king he had enough to do.

Hand in hand, he left the hospital with Christopher, Oliver on his arm and Jasper in tow. Meanwhile, Florian Wollseif had arranged for a car and chauffeur to drive Leo, Christopher, Oliver and Florian to the old castle.

Jasper said goodbye beforehand and went about his duties as a doctor. Knowing that he was close friends with the King of Dragons, it gave him a permanent grin and a really good mood.

The journey actually took a few hours. Florian, Oliver and Christopher explained everything that had happened to Leo in more detail and Leo also talked about his past and his knowledge.

The time passed reasonably quickly. The closer they got to the old castle, the duller Leo's head felt. He felt as if voices were calling out to him.

The car stopped in front of a deserted forest and everyone got out of the car except the driver. "We can't go any further. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly where the old castle is either, as no one has been able to enter it and its exact location has been lost."

Leo shook his head. "It doesn't matter, I know where it is." Christopher and Florian looked at him. "I hear the voices of my ancestors, they guide me to the place where I belong." Christopher, who was holding Oliver in his arms, and Florian simply followed Leo silently; he couldn't talk at the moment anyway, as he was concentrating on the voices.

His eyes grew emptier with each step, he lost himself more and more in the voices of the old kings, until they arrived in front of an old building that looked completely ruined from the outside. The walls and the massive stone staircase were completely overgrown with moss and a huge gate loomed before them that seemed impossible to open with simple force.

In the center of this gate was the old royal seal and Leo instinctively placed his right palm on it. A white glow, like in the hospital before, took over the gate and it opened with a loud creak.

A squalid throne room emerged. Leo, however, walked purposefully towards the throne, not allowing himself to be distracted by his surroundings. The throne magically attracted him and with every step Leo took closer to the throne, his hair turned completely white. His eyes lit up golden, they were already shining when he sat down on the throne, as the voices told him.

The moment he sat down on the throne, the memories of the last millennia flooded into his head. The reason why the royal family survived back then.

The then Omega Prince sealed his newborn child, gave it to the black dragons and then died as a result of the sealing. The child grew up without knowledge of its origins in a secluded village, without any royal features.

Over the years, knowledge of his life was lost and the other dragon families no longer knew of his existence, until a few years later, by chance, the yellow family came across the royal family again and confirmed their suspicions that the royal family still existed through some evil plans that involved completely burning down the village where the sealed king lived.

They captured him, imprisoned him and tried desperately over the decades to father children with the royal family, but this did not work and so, out of necessity to preserve the royal family, they had to let other people father the children.

With the advancement of technology, the yellow dragon family invented the clocks that measured the so-called compatibility value so that they could find out why they could not father children with the royal family and who could in order to preserve the royal family in any case.

The reason why Leo was to destroy the watch directly at that time, as these values were to be immediately conveyed to the research department of the yellow dragon family.

Only Leo's mother managed to escape the yellow dragons by the skin of her teeth and sought help from the researcher at the institute, who belonged to the green dragons but knew nothing about the action the yellow family was taking with the royal family.

He fled from his job with her and started a normal life, getting on well with the yellow dragons, unable to believe that they had really carried out such cruel machinations, but these doubts, despite his love for Leo's mother, led to his murder, by his best friend, Gerald, the head of the yellow family, and another sacrifice, that of Leo's mother, by the sealing.

The memories that flashed through Leo's mind completely engulfed him, he experienced all the feelings of his ancestors, all the pain, but also all the good experiences.

From the outside, Florian, Christopher and Oliver could only see Leo's eyes glowing. The longer it went on, the more pressure was released by him and brought both Florian and Christopher to their knees, only Oliver was excluded, after all, he himself possessed the royal blood. The only effect it had on him was that his black hair became streaked with white and his eyes blended into the gold-violet.

All kinds of animals and monsters gathered in front of the old castle. They roared, screamed and got up on their hind legs before bowing on the ground in front of the castle entrance. They had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their king for a long time, as the monsters were also under the influence of the Dragon King.

This was also the reason why the monsters had become increasingly aggressive in recent centuries, attacking humans and even dragons. They lacked a competent leader.

The absence of the Dragon King had more influence on the world than previously thought. It was only now that the king was back that the animals, monsters and even the environment blossomed. All kinds of creatures flocked to the castle, even from far away.

Among them were the heads of the other dragon houses, also carrying the yellow dragon family, looking battered and covered in wounds.

Leo slowly regained consciousness, he stared at the throne room, the creatures in front of the castle made way for the dragon families, who entered as one and fell to their knees in the hall.

"Our lord, our king. He has returned," spoke the red-haired man with the red eyes whose gaze was fixed on the floor. "We have brought the traitor with us. We eagerly await their, dare I say it, long overdue judgment against the yellow dragon family. We request an execution."

Leo's eyes stopped shining, he turned to the Fahras, the severely injured son, also injured father and mother, as well as the barely injured daughter. "Due to treason, filtering, using a Forbidden Slave Seal, killing members of the royal family, torturing and abusing several members of the royal family over centuries, I hereby order the complete destruction of the Yellow Dragon family by execution, carried out by the king himself. Upon completion of the executions, I will restore the abilities of the dragon families."

The dragon families nodded in affirmation, all of them still on their knees, while Leo rose from his throne and made his way across the hall to the Fahras.

Gerald's face was contorted in anger, but he said nothing. He had nothing left to defend himself. His wife wept silently, but also expected to die. Camilla and Jason, on the other hand, tried to fight back, Camilla in particular screaming and thrashing about, but the other families showed no mercy and pushed her to the ground.

"I'll make it painless for you, even if you don't deserve it." Leo held his arm away from himself and made the royal sword appear in his hand. It was an instinctive skill of the royal family. The sword was officially the only item that could execute dragons. Fortunately, the slave seal had completely lost its effect when the royal seal was released, which meant that Leo was finally able to defend himself.

A quick glance from Leo traveled to Christopher. "Christopher, close Oliver's eyes." Christopher's body lightened and he followed Leo's command, holding his hand in front of Oliver's eyes as the sword in Leo's hand sliced off the Fahras' heads one by one. First those of the women, who had the least to do with the story, so they wouldn't have to suffer by watching their family die. Then the men. Jason screamed, but Leo was merciless and cut off his head.

Leo then took Gerald's head and held it in the air. "The sentence on the family of the yellow dragon, the Fahras, has been successfully passed. You may now raise your heads." Many of the things Leo did were instinctively informed by the memories of his ancestors.

He sat back down on the throne and drew a sigil in the air, which he broke when completed. The surroundings lit up, the castle rebuilt itself piece by piece to its massive size, a hall that had room for the creatures that were transforming back into dragons and letting a roar into the air.

White horns sprouted from Leo's head and the dragon-shaped families also bowed to Leo again after their roar. "We are free again," they spoke in an echo. Leo smiled, "Spread the word. Spread the word that the king and the dragons are back."

With these words, the dragons poured through the massive gate into the air, they split up there. They continued to roar, shaking the earth, but also causing the long-withered plants to sprout again.

Only Christopher, Oliver and Florian remained in the throne room. Oliver was still too small to fly as a dragon, while Florian, as head of the black dragons, was the king's right-hand man and only left his hand at a special command.

Christopher himself remained at Leo's side, as his partner, at his own request. "Christopher?" "Yes, my king?" Christopher now also spoke. "Shall we marry?" Christopher stared at Leo in bewilderment. He didn't react at first, he was so irritated.

"So you don't want?" "Fuck! Oh my fucking God, as if I would turn that down!" Oliver spun around in circles. "Yay! My parents are getting married! I'm getting siblings, I've got a granddad now and a normal family!" Leo started to laugh. "Maybe not normal, but yes, we can live together now. But things will still change in our lives"

And so it was. When the world learned that the dragons were back, most people dropped everything, fell to the ground and bowed down to the earth.

Many realized that it was the only way this world could be governed. After all, not only were the dragons back, but plants that had long since disappeared and water that had long since been polluted or dried up were also reappearing.

Of course, most of those who were in political power did not want to give it up, but in the end they had no choice but to let the people overrun them. The last ones to resist gave up at the latest when they came face to face with the king and his inherent power.

Leo really had a lot to do after he became king. He had to learn a lot about the world, the economy, politics and everything, but the dragon chiefs helped him.

As a result, Christopher and Leo were only able to say "yes" to each other after the cute twin boys were born. Of course, Jasper, who was now employed as the royal doctor and royal advisor, was responsible for the birth, although he himself did not belong to any dragon family. He was given an honorary award due to his old achievements and help for the current king.

It's hard to believe, but he fell madly in love with the Omega successor of the red dragon family and went from Casanova to the most faithful husband.

Christopher, on the other hand, really struggled to restrain his choice of words. When the twins were born, he almost fell over because he was so worried about the three of them, but when he had his newborn children in his arms, he couldn't hold back his tears of joy. They named them Arthur and Ethan. They both had violet eyes, but white hair like Leo.

Oliver was overjoyed, a proud big brother, and played a lot with the twins and watched them grow. Gerald and his wife also took care of the children a lot - after all, they were their grandchildren too. Even if it took a while for his wife to understand and accept the whole situation.

Through the rebirth of their dragon powers, all the dragons also had their lifespans extended again and they were each given back their old territories, which they had to administer under Leo's strict supervision.

The wedding itself went really well, with all the dragon families in attendance, Jasper of course, and the television. The whole event was televised until the evening and the people celebrated not only the return of their king, but also the birth of a new old world.

Leo wore a white suit with gold detailing, Christopher's suit was black with purple pigment and Oliver carried the flowers. The twins, meanwhile, sat on their grandparents' laps. They were married in the church, which was part of the castle grounds and now also their home, as Leo, Christopher, Oliver and the twins had moved into the castle with a few employees and close confidants, where they not only said their vows but also lived peacefully for the rest of their lives.

They were later joined by a Leo and Christopher's daughter, Amelia, who was born because of Christopher's desire to have a daughter and to see the pregnancy through all the ups and downs from the beginning.

Oliver remained an incredibly prudent, clever and empathetic prince throughout his life, becoming one of the best kings in history.

He actually married Jonathan, his childhood friend, who unexpectedly was actually an Omega.

The twins were incredibly cheeky at first, often setting funny traps and joking around with their older brother, but when their sister was born, they fell in love with her at first sight, becoming quite overprotective and threatening and devaluing any lovers. But in time, these two also found people they could rely on and lived a peaceful life with their partners, also twins, female ones, from the blue family.

Amelia herself was literally a little princess, a little too spoiled and dependent, as her older brothers relieved her of all her duties. However, she also grew older and fell madly in love with Jasper's daughter, with whom she grew up together.

Leo looked up at the night sky now, after all his exertions, and wallowed in all his memories, good or bad. "Thank you mother, father. Thank you for all your hardships to fulfill this life for me. I only wish you could have seen it all for yourselves." Two shooting stars fell together in the sky. Tears ran down Leo's face. "I see, you've been watching over us the whole time."

------

"Thank you so much for staying with us until the end," Leo says to you. "I know it was a lot of fucking drama and a lot of shitty situations that we had to deal with." Leo pinches Christopher on the side. "No swear words!" Everyone laughs. "What Dad wanted to say to Christopher: Thank you, you've given us the strength to carry on this far and you've given us a happy ending. You don't know how grateful we are, really," Ethan joins in with Arthur. "And a special thanks to you, who wrote comments, because your comments have really encouraged us and given us extra strength." Amelia nods diligently: "Exactly. A big thank you from me too. Without you, reader, I wouldn't exist." Ethan, Arthur, Amelia, Oliver, Christopher and Leo bow to you and speak in unison once again: "We thank each and every one of you."
