About ten minutes later, the screams started to spread throughout the apartment. Luckily, the soundproofing was good, otherwise even the neighbors would have been brought there by them.
Unfortunately, at this moment, Leng Pan could no longer laugh. The fact that they could hear them screaming while sitting in the living room showed how earth shattering that scream was.
However, they couldn't help and could only wait for them to finish the process and come out.

The apocalypse will start at about seven o'clock, so only an hour remains.
While they waited, Leng Pan's phone in her pocket rang. She didn't need to think to know who was calling. It was obvious that Bai Yinyin was asking if she had arrived at the airport. She snickered and wondered what her so-called best friend would do if she found out that the supplies she had painfully bought had benefited others.
She had tormented the original Leng Pan in the book for years and eventually pushed her into a horde of zombies, causing her to die such a painful and ugly death.
Even if she was the female lead in this book world with the female lead's protagonist halo, Leng Pan wanted to see what would happen with her in the end.
She had already noticed that some of the details differed slightly from those written in the book. She assumed that it was a butterfly effect caused by her transmigration.
She was no longer the original Leng Pan who was a cannon fodder and died so miserably after treating someone with such sincerity.
She had her own thoughts and couldn't be manipulated by the story. She was going to rewrite her fate and change both hers and Lu Zhen's ending.
She picked up the phone and the voice on the other side could be heard with obvious anxiety in it.

"Are you going to let her wait at the airport? She might leave early since she knows the schedule." Lu Zhen said.
Of course Leng Pan knew this, that's why she was stalling for time.
"Such a 'good' friend I have. She knows what's about to happen but has kept it to herself and is only concerned about obtaining the jade bangle.

They waited for ten minutes before Bai Yinyin call came in again. She was obviously getting anxious because only less than an hour was left before the apocalypse and leaving the airport and going to the antique street to get the bangle then going back home, or to the warehouse to collect her supplies will take longer.
She couldn't afford to wait anymore. She wondered what that fool Leng Pan was doing in the bathroom for so long. Why of all days did she have to delay so much.
The phone was picked up again.
"Panpan, why aren't you out yet? Hurry up. It's getting late and the shops on the antique street will be closed soon." Came Bai Yinyin's voice, which was more anxious than before.
"Alright Yinyin, I am about to leave the bath…ahh" Leng Pan's words ended with a scream and a 'Thud'.
Then the call disconnected. Bai Yinyin didn't know what had happened and called back. But all she got was a mechanical recorded voice saying, "Sorry, the subscriber you called is out of reach."
She was stunned. What just happened? Did she get kidnapped? Why did she scream? What about her jade bangle?
Bai Yinyin asked herself so many questions but no one could give her an answer. She didn't know what to do since this had deviated from what happened in her previous life.
