Chapter 22 - Before Ceremony

Meanwhile…

Mr. Oscar was sitting alone in a nearby cafe in Flares of Ash, there were many gathering across the square, people buying items from merchants, a local singer in the middle of the square, the ordinary fantasy that people would normally describe or see.

He places down his goggles in the black steeled table. The waiter approaches him and gave him a cup of tea. He smelled it's wonderful scent before drinking it delight. As he drank the tea, something came up into his mind.

His face flickered with his main thought, he grabbed a cellphone more described as more advanced than the ones in the real world. The screen brightened up as he opened the phone. He dialed numbers as he was trying to call someone secretly and safely.

The phone rings as he waited for this specific person to pick up the call. It stop ringing as a familiar high-pitched voice spoke in the phone.

"Whoever is calling me right now, shouldn't have this number, who are you in this call…?"

Mr. Oscar chuckled slightly as he faded his mood to be more serious. He recognized the silly voice that spoke to him, it was Ursula that tried to be a menace to scare him off in the call. He sipped in his tea one more time before he begin to speak to her.

"Good morning Ursula, your bratty attitude is still refine as before."

He chuckled slightly as he spoke on the phone, his voice grabbed Ursula's attention as she growled with irritation.

"Hey you! Are you Oscar!"

She yelled on the phone, she was laying down on her king size bed in the room. Her room remained vibrant as the light seeps through her windowed doors.

"Hahaha- How's the two doing there?"

He questioned her carefully.

"Funny question, when we ate dinner they were a little shy so I had to support them. I think they're already good enough with the party members but except the two who didn't attend the dinner."

She laughed as she spoke her words.

"So, have you found anything weird lately since the ceremony is going to start tomorrow for the candidate list of parties election for the city?"

He sipped his tea again, and gulped it with passion.

"No, I really haven't found anything strange these days? Why you are you asking me this?"

Ursula's tone began to fade to seriousness, her voice became deep slightly instead of her usual silly way of talking.

"I think there's something going around you know? Technology groups are unhinged as of now, they nearly killed Aoife and Avery in our world for no absolute reason. The Astrology side also hired mercenaries to try to conquer my world. Could it be because of this specific prophecy that they had?"

He spoke to her with an awkward silence after he said that.

"Mhm, maybe it's something connecting between the party and them. Do you think something bad can happen at the day of the election itself?"

"I'm not sure, but there could be a tiny chance that there would be actually destruction around the ceremony for sure..."

Oscar's voice spoke to her with skepticism, his tone was low for her to notice the reality of what could happen.

"Oh! And what is this tiny chance could be about?"

Her voice began to return to her usual tone.

"From what I've heard across my time spying alone, some party groups may have traitors for the sake of the new party leading the senate in this city. There can be also a mass killing throughout the election because of this."

He sipped a handful of tea into his mouth after he spoke.

"Oooh~, trying to keep your old sensei safe I see~! Fufufufu~"

Mr. Oscar spat out his tea out of her response, he quickly grabbed his phone closer to him to confront her.

"YOU KNOW THIS COULD BE ACTUALLY SERIOUS!"

Ursula laughed hysterically after his reaction, her voice choked around her lungs that she couldn't breathe. She playfully waved her leg around her bed from her joke. Oscar raged a little from her silliness, he growled with irritation to the point that Ursula could hear his heavy breathing in the call.

"Mhm, I get it... Perhaps you don't think we have a traitor around the house don't you?"

She replied back with caution.

"I'm just warning you, any party at all costs, could have a traitor among them..."

He warned her seriously, his voice crept inside in her ears.

"Well, is that about it about the stuff I needed to know before the ceremony starts soon?"

"Kinda, but do you have any suspicions around the people inside the mansion?"

Ursula's skin tingled in fear, her thoughts was filled by a mist of questions and anticipations after Mr. Oscar had said that to her. She swallowed her own fluid again ready to speak to him.

"Not right now, but perhaps I'll see it for myself."

She said it in a calm voice.

"I think that's all that I have to say."

He ended the call in his phone, he proceeded to grab money from his wallet. He placed the money that was unknowingly a different kind of money compared to the real world. It was plastic but it glowed with a tiny beacon around the sides. He placed in the table as his payment for his tea and walked outside of the small cafe.

A while ago...

Aoife and Avery woke up in their bed, she sat in her bed delicately as she rubbed her eyes gently with passion, she scratches her hair softly before she starts to stretch her legs around the soft mattress. She moaned quietly with satisfaction after her body has been fully warmed up for this day. Avery on the other hand, he immediately stood up from the bed and approached the door, as he opened the door he rubbed his eyes from his sleepiness.

After a couple seconds, he began to massage his messy hair swiftly. He blinked a couple times to notice that he was sleep walking around the hallways, his looks was a mess, he was in his sleeping pajamas with no socks, and eyebags that are clearly seen in his face. He looked around his surrounding and panicked, his legs trembled as he ran backwards to where he came from. He found a door that he would've thought that was Aoife's and his room.

As he opened the door, hot mist flowed through the air, his nose sniffed it without hesitation it lured him go inside further the room. As he closed the door, he could barely see on what was around the room. The fog clears out around the room, his eyes gazed on the beauty on what he has stumbled upon on.

He saw a pool, hot spring as he rather described it to himself. There were pillars that hold the room tightly and slightly compact. It was then he realized it was a public bathroom for all guests to bathe on. He took off his clothes and approached the large body of water.

Avery stepped in the warm water, he reminisced the times where he played around the natural hot spring in his hometown. It felt like it he was truly back on his past experiencing the beautiful moment. He slowly sink his body in the hot water, he sat down on the stairs and completely let the water flow around his body as it eases up the strains of yesterday.

A few moments later, as he continued to relax around the pool of water. Suddenly, someone appeared out of the water, the person splashed the water around the bathing area. He stood up from the water, he stroked his hair once revealing his glorified body to Avery.

As Avery rubbed the water around his eyes he saw the man naked in the water.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!"

He shouted at the man with an embarrased look, he hid his private part with his hands as his cheeks start to glow red. The man heard his scream and looked at him shockingly, he gasped and screamed like a maniac at Avery. His voice echoed around the room, he fell in the water out of fear. He bubbled up and sat down and continued to gasp for air after he dug himself underwater.

Avery looked at him with an angry expression, his eye twitched menacingly as he continued to stare at the strange man. The unknown individual was also irriated by the sudden appearance of Avery in the bathouse, he gritted his teeth sharply after he took one look to him.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT AM I DOING HERE! I WAS NOT AWARE OF YOU BEING AROUND THIS BATHOUSE!"

The man screamed at Avery with a bashful tone, his voice reached to Avery's ears rapidly as soon as he said that. Avery growled from this man's harsh reaction towards him.

"IT'S YOUR FAULT FOR NOT WARNING ME THAT YOU WERE HERE!"
